A needed release from the daily 9 to 5 grind and Tuesday bowling night, our first location in Lombard, Illinois was so popular, we opened up another factory of fun near downtown Chicago as well as Vernon Hills. In September 2014 the 2 year restoration of Biggs Mansion was completed. With over $4 million dollars spent and absolutely no cost spared, real estate developer and current owner Fred Latsko converted the previously known IL Mulino restaurant into Chicago's finest cigcar show and private cigar lounge. Chef Perry Hendrix's rustic menu, featuring Midwest ingredients from valued local purveyors, takes its cue from the sun-drenched wine regions of Southwestern Europe. Beyond reflecting the aromas, flavors and colors of the Mediterranean in its cuisine, avec's extensive wine list focuses on the region's boutique vineyards. avec's second floor private event space draws from the warm, intimate design of the main dining room, and evokes the feeling of a rustic mediterranean wine cave. With an open kitchen and private bar, the second floor can host private events for up to 40 seated guests or up to 60 guests for a standing reception. For smaller groups, the space can be divided into a small, private room for with seating for 12 guests, and a semi-private space with seating for up to 20 guests.
