At its core, ELAWA FARM is an innovative public-private collaboration devoted to the preservation and maintenance of a rare combination of natural environment, created landscapes, as well as architectural and historic structures. It was in 1998 that the City of Lake Forest purchased a 16-acre tract of land that included the original farm complex buildings that were once part of a gentleman's farm dating back to the early twentieth century, known as ELAWA FARM. Francesca's Amici is an Italian trattoria set in vibrant downtown Elmhurst, Illinois, drawing on the flavors of Rome and the surrounding regions of Tuscany, Umbria, and Lazio. Since opening in July 1999, the restaurant has built a following around its rustic, casually sophisticated atmosphere — where the warmth of Italian hospitality and the chatter of guests around the table set the tone for every meal and gathering. For private events, Francesca's Amici accommodates groups ranging from 10 to 180 guests across two dedicated event spaces. Room 1 seats up to 30 guests in a more intimate setting, while the North Room handles larger parties of up to 80 seated. Wilder Park was established in 1921 on land that had previously been carefully tended and landscaped by some of Elmhurst's most prominent families before being purchased by the Park District in 1921. Wilder Park's development as a garden spot began in 1868, when Seth Wadhams purchased a treeless farm known as "Burnhams Lot" and built a home he named "White Birch." The Kenilworth Assembly Hall was designed by Chicago architect George W. Maher, who was a contemporary of Frank Lloyd Wright. It was completed in 1907. It is designated on the National Register of Historic Places and has functioned as a lovely community house since it was built in the early twentieth century. Located in the lovely North Shore community of Kenilworth, it is conveniently located close to Lake Michigan, downtown Chicago, and other major transportation hubs. 6300 S. Lake Shore Drive (E. Hayes Drive @ Lake Michigan) is the address for 63rd Street Beach in Jackson Park. This beach offers a wide range of amenities to visitors. Stop by Belly Up for delicious Jamaican cuisine, or Leave With a Smile for snacks and drinks. Restrooms, interactive water fountains, showers, and meeting rooms are all available to beachgoers at the historic beach house. It is possible to rent the beach house. In 1871, the renowned Central Park designers, Olmsted & Vaux, built Jackson Park, as well as the adjacent Midway Plaisance and Washington Park. By 1888, the region had a paved beach built of granite bricks that covered the whole lakefront in Jackson Park. Given that untreated sewage was being poured into Lake Michigan at the time, it's no surprise that the beaches were used as paved walkways for strolling or promenading rather than wading or bathing. When Chicago's ingenious Drainage Canal was completed in 1899 and began transporting sewage to other sites, the lakefront became a popular spot for public swimming. After receiving several requests from South Side residents for larger beaches at the turn of the century, the South Park Commissioners opted to expand the beach sand area. In 1914, they devised a new plan for the landfill, and three years later, the 10-acre beach extension was completed. By 1919, an elegant bathing pavilion had been built near to the beach as part of this concept. The bathing pavilion, now known as the 63rd Street Beach House, was renovated by the Chicago Park District in 2000. The 63rd Street Beach House is a beautiful Classical Revival structure. The remarkable structure was designed by South Park Commission in-house architects. The magnificent exposed-aggregate concrete building, completed in 1919, takes full advantage of Lake Michigan with its open balconies and loggias (ground-level open-air galleries), allowing for lovely lake vistas and nice breezes. Bathrooms and baths, medical facilities, and separate courtyards for men and women with hundreds of wooden changing booths were all given in the past. The open courtyards are now tastefully landscaped places with an interactive water element, rather than wooden booths (made possible by the Max Schiff Foundation).

The Adler Arts Center is a stunning and one-of-a-kind location for small, intimate gatherings. With space for anything from a wedding or baby shower in the ballroom and sun porch to an exquisite nighttime cocktail party spread throughout the house, The Adler Arts Center is the ideal location for your special occasion. The Adler Estate was the home of architect David Adler, who lived there for many years. From 1918 until his death in 1949, he resided at this residence. The Adler Arts Center, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is an architectural jewel that demonstrates Adler's passion for Colonial Revival architecture while also incorporating Classical Revival and French Renaissance Revival elements, as well as numerous signature design features. A rich bespoke interior with elaborate woodcarvings and the blazing warmth of light from another age will greet you and your guests as they walk through the door.

The Boathouse, located on the banks of Lake Ellyn in west suburban Glen Ellyn, is the ideal location for your next corporate or social occasion. The lovely lake's shore is ablaze with natural vegetation that complements the present season, and the big deck off the east side of the Boathouse offers breathtaking views of the lake and its inhabitants. This adaptable room can sit up to 120 people comfortably, or up to 150 people without tables. When hiring the Boathouse, you can also hire the adjacent patio and deck (for an extra price). The Lake Ellyn Boathouse is entirely accessible to those with disabilities; contact for more info on specific accommodations. From the beginning of March to the middle of December, the Boathouse is available for rent seven days a week. The Boathouse can be reserved up to a year ahead of time. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a visit, please contact the Rental Supervisor at (630) 858-2462. Please allow for a response time of up to one business day. All tours are by appointment only and are typically available Monday through Friday during regular office hours. During your contract hours, you and/or your caterer have access to the facilities and kitchen amenities (refrigerator, freezer, warming oven, ice machine, microwave, and bar refrigerator). Our table and chair inventory, in-house audio system, garbage bags and removal, and facilities staff to manage your event are all included in your rental. This stunning special event location, located in the gorgeous Lords Park, can accommodate up to 250 guests. The magnificent Pavilion has hardwood flooring, vaulted ceilings, picket doors, wide windows with scenic park views, a covered wrap-around veranda, and outside ceremony grounds with ponds, fountains, and a wooden bridge. Weddings, quinceaneras, bridal and baby showers, birthday/anniversary parties, and so much more are all possible at this site. The Pavilion, a two-story structure built in 1898, is one of the city's most important historical landmarks. It's at 100 Oakwood Boulevard in Lords Park, a 108-acre photographic site in the magnificent historic Lords Park. Groups of up to 250 individuals can use the space; fees vary depending on size and rental terms. The scene of your wedding will be situated against a gorgeous lake with a plethora of trees and flowers. You can exchange vows beside the lake, and move inside for a reception inside the pavilion. The two levels of the historical building are perfect for a night of dancing! The stained glass windows are stunning and create a romantic setting in and of themselves. A wrap-around porch runs the length of the pavilion. The Irish American Heritage Center is a hidden jewel on the city's northwest side that is ideal for hosting meetings, social events, and group celebrations for both large and small groups. Private events can be held in the full Irish American Heritage Center or in individual rooms for smaller parties. We rent on a daily and hourly basis. In addition, we have two parking areas to accommodate your guests. ERIN ROOM The Erin Room, located on the fourth floor, is a private floor with a private bar, enormous glass windows, and crystal chandeliers. This magnificent area, which is conveniently accessible via our elevator and stairwells, is the ideal location for your wedding, benefit, anniversary, or concert. THE FIFTH PROVINCE HALL The Fifth Province Hall, which is located on the first level, features magnificent architectural aspects such as high ceilings and wooden accents. Because it is directly across the street from our Fifth Province Pub, this is one of our most popular rooms for a traditional Irish wedding. THE CEILI & SHANACHIE ROOMS The Ceili and Shanachie Rooms, both on the first floor of the Center, are ideal for family gatherings, fundraisers, and dance courses. THE MCGINTY ROOM The McGinty Room, on the third level, has an Irish feel to it and features a built-in bar as well as a stage for performance. This space is ideal for your upcoming baptism or communion. THE MAYFAIR THEATER This 658-seat theater is great for your next concert, play, dance performance, movie screening, or recital. ROOM 311 This exquisite space is on the third level and has windows on the west side, allowing natural light to stream in and accentuate the lofty ceilings and opulent embellishments. ROOM 304 These rooms, which are all on the third level, are ideal for small seminars, group meetings, music lessons, and dance classes. THE TARA ROOM The Tara room, a larger event area on the third floor with high ceilings and windows that let in natural light, is ideal for family or corporate events.
