    LePlatt's Pond is a private outdoor lakeside wedding and event venue set on L-J Ranch, a 100-acre working Hereford cattle ranch in the Pine River Valley near Durango, in Bayfield, Colorado. Established in 1940 and family-owned since, the property centers on a spring-fed 10-acre pond ringed by cottonwood trees and framed by views of the Rocky Mountains. The venue accommodates up to 200 guests across two primary event settings. Ceremonies take place lakeside beneath a handmade willow arbor on shaded log benches, with open fields and mountain views as a backdrop. Receptions are hosted in a 40-by-80-foot luxury draped tent outfitted with chandelier lighting wrapped in greenery, a signature wood bar, and a fire pit lounge with twinkle lights. A dedicated catering tent and day-of coordination team are included with every wedding package. On-site lodging at The Loft — a bridal suite sleeping six guests — is included with wedding rentals, along with three days of private property access. LePlatt's Pond is located 20 minutes from Durango and 40 minutes from Pagosa Springs, with Durango-La Plata County Airport serving as the nearest regional airport.
