Event facilities span several distinct settings. North Beach stretches 300 feet along 55-acre Noanet Pond with sunset views, a pavilion, and room for up to 200 guests. The Orchard & Barn pairs a charming barn structure with an apple orchard and butterfly garden, accommodating up to 100. Powissett Lodge brings the gathering indoors with cathedral ceilings, hardwood floors, a fireplace, a full kitchen, and a deck — all handicap-accessible — for groups of up to 100. During your ceremony on the estate's beautiful grounds, you can exchange vows with one another on our bandstand, under our stately trees, or under our gracious columned portico, all in the style of the nineteenth century. Alternatively, you could have your service inside the Mansion, surrounded by splendor. Cocktails: Spend a beautiful day outside on the lawn, porches, or bandstand, or step inside to take in the splendor of the estate's period architecture and decor, which is available for purchase. A formal sit-down dinner or buffet for approximately 85 guests can be held in the Mansion to keep your celebration small and intimate. The Lippitt House Museum is an 1865 Victorian mansion on Providence's historic East Side, recognized as a National Historic Landmark for its well-preserved period interiors. Built for textile magnate and Rhode Island Governor Henry Lippitt, the house features an elaborate dining room ceiling and other high-style Victorian details throughout its first-floor rooms. Beyond its museum tours, the mansion is available for rental for parties, photography and film, and corporate or non-profit meetings, with grounds that include an operational 1873 fountain. Rental packages give guests access to six first-floor rooms and the grounds, along with the free use of banquet tables, chairs, and a Steinway baby grand piano, all included with the space rather than sourced separately. Agawam Hunt is a private country club set on 130 wooded, riverside acres in Rumford, Rhode Island, just across the water from Providence's East Side. Founded in 1897 as a fox hunting organization, the club traces its roots to the Providence County Hunt of the 1870s and has occupied its current clubhouse site, a former farmhouse, since that era. In 2018, New Agawam, LLC acquired the property and partnered with The Nature Conservancy to permanently protect eleven of the club's interior golf course holes from development. Needham Golf Club is a private, member-owned club incorporated in 1923 and set on nearly 50 acres of town land in Needham, Massachusetts. The course was designed by Wayne Stiles — a disciple of Donald Ross — and first opened for play in 1901. The current clubhouse, completed in 2011, offers a comfortable setting with a grill room and a covered deck overlooking the first and ninth holes. The club's Function Room accommodates up to 150 guests for events ranging from weddings and Bar and Bat Mitzvahs to corporate retreats and milestone celebrations, with a dance floor available for events that call for it. A smaller Grill Room seats up to 20 guests for more intimate gatherings. An in-house chef and professional food and beverage team handle all catering, with custom menus developed for each event. Built in 1822, the Aldrich House is a National Historic Landmark located on the beautiful and historic East Side of Providence. The house was presented to the Rhode Island Historical Society in 1974 by the heirs of Winthrop W. Aldrich, a former Ambassador to Great Britain, and it also serves as the Rhode Island Historical Society headquarters, hosting RIHS special events and programs by appointment. Robert S. Burroughs hired noted Rhode Island architect John Holden Greene to build the house in 1821; it was completed in 1822, the same year the Rhode Island Historical Society was founded. The Aldrich family later shaped national history from this address: Nelson W. Aldrich rose to the U.S. Senate in 1881 and helped lay the groundwork for the Federal Reserve, his daughter Abby married John D. Rockefeller Jr., and their son, Vice President Nelson Rockefeller, was named after him. During World War II, another daughter, Lucy Aldrich, sheltered Scottish evacuee children at the house.
