An extension of Ema (located in River North), Aba incorporates a similar light style of cooking with an emphasis on raw and cooked proteins. Aba offers space for groups of up to 35 for semi-private receptions, as well as our Chef's Table for up to 12 guests. For larger events of up to 600, The Dalcy is the perfect private dining hall.

A separate lobby entrance is around the corner at 207 S. Desplaines, and next to the parking garage - a welcome respite from the challenges of the city of Chicago parking. (Imagine after saying your “I Do’s” you and your guests will walk across the street to be greeted by a sun-drenched foyer for cocktails.) Amazing Space includes a catering kitchen, distinctive bars, tables and chairs, restrooms on the first and second floors, an elevated lighting system, a sunny bridal suite, and a sophisticated A/V. The 6,000 sq. foot event space boasts soaring ceilings and architectural elements inspired by Old St. Pat’s. The 2nd-floor mezzanine overlooks the main floor providing a beautiful flow for your cocktail reception and the chance for your guests to enjoy the dancing and merriment from above.

City Hall Chicago boasts 10,000-square-feet of flexible event space, with a separate grand entrance on Kinzie Street. The column-free hall, with its soaring 40-foot-high ceilings, 37-foot stone bar and industrial-elegant architectural detailing, is a striking venue for large-scale events, meetings and receptions. City Hall Chicago offers a fully equipped bridal suite and green room, which overlook the space from the second floor.

avec, a Mediterranean and Midwestern influenced shared plates restaurant, opened in October 2003 out of a partnership between Executive Chef Paul Kahan, restaurateur Donnie Madia and wine steward Eduard Seitan. Chef Perry Hendrix's rustic menu, featuring Midwest ingredients from valued local purveyors, takes its cue from the sun-drenched wine regions of Southwestern Europe. Beyond reflecting the aromas, flavors and colors of the Mediterranean in its cuisine, avec's extensive wine list focuses on the region's boutique vineyards. avec's second floor private event space draws from the warm, intimate design of the main dining room, and evokes the feeling of a rustic mediterranean wine cave. With an open kitchen and private bar, the second floor can host private events for up to 40 seated guests or up to 60 guests for a standing reception. For smaller groups, the space can be divided into a small, private room for with seating for 12 guests, and a semi-private space with seating for up to 20 guests.

Rockwell on the River is located in an old manufacturing complex in the Avondale neighborhood in Chicago. This unique industrial building will feature over 16,000 square feet of the main event space totaling over 22,000 square feet including the outdoor and staging areas. The architectural details include high lofted double bow truss ceilings, skylights, exposed brick, timber construction, Black Locust end-grain flooring, Italian Masonry in the courtyard and riverfront, and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the North branch of the Chicago River. The river frontage will bring the indoors out with over 3,000 square feet of cocktail-worthy space. The amenities at Rockwell on the River include a 1,300 square foot catering kitchen, distinctive bars, tables and chairs, artfully designed washrooms, a convenient loading dock, and many details making the space exceptional. The location of this venue is also impressive: the Rockwell series of buildings will feature exciting developments including a distillery, a brewery, and a restaurant – all connected by a common cobblestone courtyard.

Fifteen years ago Stuart Grannen, the founder of the Chicago staple, Architectural Artifacts Inc., purchased an old Charcoal factory in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. He and an internationally acclaimed designer converted this incredible factory space into an AIA award winning home. They kept as much of the original interior finishes to keep the integrity of the building. Stuart began receiving requests for photoshoots and small parties which led him to the conclusion that this space was too special to keep to himself! He has decided to let others share in the joy of this architectural masterpiece.
