Timber Pointe Outdoor Center sits on 170 wooded acres along Lake Bloomington near Hudson, Illinois, a setting that has welcomed campers, families, and private events since Easterseals Central Illinois acquired the property in 1989. Originally Camp Heffernan — a Boy Scout camp — the grounds have been developed into a year-round retreat and event destination with a mix of indoor and outdoor spaces suited to weddings, receptions, corporate meetings, and team-building programs. The Main Lodge anchors the property for larger gatherings, accommodating up to 250 guests on its main level. The lodge includes restrooms on both floors, a full kitchen, an elevator, private lower-level changing rooms, a back porch, and a dedicated outdoor lakefront ceremony space — a combination that makes it practical for a full wedding weekend from rehearsal through reception. The facility opened to the public in July 2015 and spans approximately 33,800 square feet across a two-story main building and a connected mansion. The center offers a range of indoor and outdoor spaces available for reservation, including conference rooms, multipurpose rooms, a dining room, and outdoor areas such as a courtyard and seasonal tent space. Groups may reserve spaces for meetings, programming, and private events through the Town's online reservation system.
