Prevailing Winds Lodge is a custom-built full log lodge on 62 acres of rolling hills, open prairies, and hardwood forest in Blue Mounds, Wisconsin, just outside Madison. Built in 1996 as a bed and breakfast, the lodge features hand-peeled logs, full chinking between every log, a local barn wood mantle, and a handcrafted moose and elk antler chandelier, giving the interior the character of a back-country retreat. The lodge hosts weddings, corporate retreats, family reunions, and bachelor and bachelorette parties, with five guest rooms, a great room warmed by a wood fireplace, and a sunroom with 180-degree views. Tyrol Basin Ski and Snowboard Area is a ski resort in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, offering groomed terrain, a terrain park, snow tubing, lessons, and NASTAR racing each winter, with a disc golf course open daily through the summer. Deer Valley Lodge is a hotel and event venue set among the rolling hills of southwestern Wisconsin, just outside Barneveld, with views of its own 27-hole golf course. The property pairs 62 hotel rooms with a 12,000-square-foot indoor water park, giving wedding and event guests a reason to make a weekend of their stay. At the center of the venue is a 5,000-square-foot Banquet Hall that can hold 350 to 400 guests, paired with a full-service private bar, a large outdoor patio, and a built-in dance floor.
