You can also say your “I do's” underneath their covered terrace which also overlooks the pond or, you can use this spacious location for your cocktail hour. The Oxford, formerly known as Fourteen 86 Events, is now owned and managed by us. We have plans to remodel and modernize the venue, as well as be rebranded and relaunch in the fall. The ideal wedding venue for your special day, with room for 100 guests, it is ideal for a smaller wedding surrounded by your closest relatives and friends. You've found it if you're seeking for a versatile, family-friendly event space for any occasion. We welcome you to celebrate with us at The Oxford, whether it's for weddings, bridal and baby showers, graduations, retirements, or any other occasion you can think of. The entrance, terrace, bar area, and reception area will all get a makeover! You'll feel like you're walking into something special with the new pergola structure and bistro lighting at the entry from the parking lot. Any exposed wood or beams in the patio area will be painted white with gray accents and bistro lighting hung from them. During cocktail hour, your guests will be able to relax on the outside furniture. All pine wood in the main reception area, including the roof beams, has been dyed a grey tint. Fabric hanging with twinkle lights has been put to the ceiling, and new chandeliers and fresh paint will be placed to the walls. Our beautiful outside ceremony area will be given a complete make over with turf, solid bases for guest chairs and a backdrop overhaul. Our bridal cottage will eventually be painted on the outside but right now our focus is creating a beautiful and tranquil inside space where our brides can relax and be pampered with all her attendants!

Wind Dancer Retreat sits on 22 acres of countryside just north of Bryan/College Station, Texas, on a rural property also home to Wind Dancer Racing, a horse breeding operation owned by Michael and Rayne Zingelmann. Rock Lake Ranch is a working ranch owned and operated by the Geffert family, which has been in the family for several generations. They are sixth generation Texans who take tremendous pleasure in their ancestors and the history of their home state. This gorgeous property, which was named after Rock Lake Creek, was formerly a camping area for Native Americans who were lured to the spring-fed creek that cut through the exposed sandstone cliffs. The Gefferts' great-grandparents came in the Piedmont area in the mid-1850s, when they were born. During the 1920s, their grandparents, Annie Lee and Johnny Churchwell, were still operating a self-sufficient farmhouse on the acreage they inherited. The Writer's Cottage, a shotgun-style residence built in the early 1900s in Houston's Fourth Ward, was formerly a popular hangout for writers. When it was transported to the ranch in 2005, it had been authentically restored by volunteers and professionals from Historic Houston. The Old Gibbons Creek bridge, a steel-truss bridge built in the early twentieth century and affectionately known as the "Shanghai Bridge" by locals, originally stood a few miles away. It had been abandoned since the 1980s, but it was relocated and rebuilt in 2009, and it now serves as a picturesque gateway to the Waterfront Pavilion and other outdoor spaces at Rock Lake Ranch. There are still remnants of their grandparents' first home on Rock Lake Ranch, including the Allen House and wooden barn area, as well as the old well house and cistern where their grandparents' original farmhouse previously stood. The construction of ten on-site cabins is scheduled for late 2021 and 2022. 6,000 square feet of room for up to 250 guests in a rustic, elegant barn location great for your wedding. High beamed ceilings with exquisite yet rustic lighting will be featured in this temperature-controlled arena. With simple gray shiplap and rustic elements, the interior will be gorgeous. The Groomsmen and the Bridal Party each have dressing rooms in the front of the venue, with the Bridal dressing room having direct access to the Ladies Restroom. View the lighted patio space, outdoor entertaining area, grazing Longhorns, and the Lighted Pavillion and Fountain via the wall of windows. Outdoor ceremonies can be held at the Lighted Pavillion.
