    Ash Point Estate

35 Ash Point Dr, Owls Head, ME 04854, USA
    • Spaces for 150 Guests

Ash Point Estate was created for couples who want more than a traditional wedding day. Rather than hosting a single-day event, we offer a private wedding weekend experience that gives couples the opportunity to spend meaningful time with the people who matter most. From the moment guests arrive through the final farewell, the estate becomes home for a celebration that unfolds over several days instead of just a few hours. We intentionally host a limited number of weddings each season, allowing every couple exclusive access to the estate and a highly personalized experience. Whether it's a welcome gathering, rehearsal dinner, wedding day, or farewell breakfast, each part of the weekend is designed to feel connected rather than seperate. Our approach is rooted in hospitality. We believe couples should spend their wedding weekend enjoying their family and friends, not managing logistics or feeling pulled in a dozen directions. By thoughtfully guiding the experience from beginning to end, we're able to create a weekend that feels relaxed, seamless, and genuinely enjoyable for everyone involved. Set on a private coastal estate in Midcoast Maine, Ash Point Estate combines timeless architecture, thoughtfully designed gathering spaces, and the privacy of an exclusive estate setting. It's an experience created for couples who value quality time, intentional celebrations, and the opportunity to make lasting memories with the people they love. We don't think a wedding should be over in a single evening. We believe it should be a weekend worth remembering.

The Ark is a historic inn, dining destination, and event venue on Deer Isle, Maine — a small island accessible by bridge off the coast of Downeast Maine. Built in 1793 by Ignatius Haskell as a post-colonial family home, the gambrel-roofed structure sits on two acres along the shores of Northwest Harbor and Mill Pond. Locals nicknamed it "The Ark" for its scale and elevated waterfront position; the name was officially restored in 2026 when the property came under new ownership. The inn is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and was recently named among The New York Times' 50 best restaurants nationally. The property hosts intimate weddings and elopements at the harbor or Mill Pond, small gatherings in the historic Tavern and Dining Room, and creative retreats for writers, artists, and small groups. The Tavern — once the Haskell family kitchen — features eight-foot-wide fireplaces with original brick ovens and wood-paneled walls, while the Dining Room operates a rotating Chef in Residence program featuring acclaimed visiting chefs. For couples and groups seeking a calm, unhurried backdrop on the Maine coast, The Ark offers a celebration experience shaped by a genuine sense of place.
