Historically known as the Medford Farm, Chestnut Ridge Venue is surrounded by a family homestead on a 150 acre farm. As previous tobacco farmers, Chestnut Ridge is still a successful working farm full of homegrown sugar cane for old fashioned, vatted molasses and grazing livestock.

The Argot Room is brought to you by Jargon, an established West Asheville Restaurant. The Argot Room is the perfect event venue for get-togethers of all kinds: brunches, reunions, bachelorette/bachelor party dinners, wedding party or rehearsal dinners, graduation dinners, birthday celebrations, baby showers, business dinners, and even band performances! We are able to accommodate parties up to 50 people, and work closely with our clients to design an experience and menu that is uniquely memorable. The Argot Room has an area for a dance floor and dj to get that party started, and even audio/visual capabilities for special presentations. The space has a similar charm and that vintage vibe that Jargon has, but with even more flair. Your guests will swoon over our cozy lounge areas, overall distinctive design and whimsical atmosphere.

With fifty-six acres of picturesque beauty, guests can enjoy onsite activities from hiking trails, pond fishing, private cooking lessons with a gourmet Chef, a catered spa session, and more. Located 15 minutes from downtown allows our guests the freedom to tour Asheville’s artistic and historical scenes or journey to explore the Blue Ridge Mountains. Weddings Immerse yourself in Asheville’s outdoor wedding venue at Canaan Valley. Accented with a traditional wedding arbor, our 60x40 outdoor ceremony platform has built-in benches for guests to relish at our forest views. Rain is no worry at Canaan Valley, for we have a tent onsite for coverage. Following your ceremony, guests will wind through 100-year-old trees on a boardwalk leading to The Speakeasy wedding reception area. Are you looking for an intimate elopement wedding? We multiple locations for your 56 acres of property to have your perfect scenic ceremony. Wedding and Event Receptions If you're looking to host a reception or social gathering, our in-house planners will help coordinate to bring your vision to life. Our indoor wedding reception area is a 2000 square-foot indoor space features modern rustic copper embossed ceilings, rose gold details, and a whiskey barrel wall, to name a few. Attached is a 2000 square-foot outdoor reception area with ample seating for guests to enjoy double fire pits, a perfect setting for chilly nights. *If you are interested in reserving just our ceremony site and/or reception space for your event, we can do that! Accommodations Our location boasts two eloquent rentals on property, perfect for wedding parties who seek onsite lodging and family gatherings. Both rated with 5-Star reviews by AirBNB, the Mane House has 6 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, two fireplaces, and cathedral ceilings. The North Carolina Arboretum is a 434-acre public garden set in the Southern Appalachian Mountains just south of Asheville, and an affiliate of the University of North Carolina system. For nearly 40 years, the Arboretum has cultivated connections between people, plants, and places, drawing more than 500,000 visitors annually to its formal gardens, bonsai exhibition, and over 10 miles of trails. Private event rental spaces span both indoor and outdoor settings — from the fireplace-lit Baker Lobby and open-air Event Lawn to the Heritage Garden's serene plantings, the Blue Ridge Court fountain area, and a stone-tiered Amphitheater — all within the Arboretum's 65 acres of cultivated grounds. Events accommodate up to 150 guests. In-house catering is provided by Food Experience for groups of 20 or more, and a Green Weddings Program supports couples seeking environmentally conscious planning. The Inn on Biltmore Estate is a Forbes Four-Star hotel situated on the 8,000-acre Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina. The property has held its Forbes Four-Star designation for 25 consecutive years, with renovated accommodations that reflect the European-inspired character of George Vanderbilt's original estate. For private events and weddings, the Inn offers three dedicated spaces: the Private Dining Room for intimate gatherings of up to 18, and the Olmsted Room and Hunt Room, each accommodating up to 70 guests for receptions and equipped with audiovisual capabilities and high-speed internet. As a wedding venue, the Inn hosts ceremonies and receptions for 45 to 80 guests in indoor and outdoor settings, with access to Biltmore's in-house catering and the full estate grounds. The Cliffs at Walnut Cove is a private luxury golf community set at 2,800 feet near Asheville, North Carolina, cradled by the Pisgah National Forest and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Described as Asheville's only private golf community, the property centers on a Jack Nicklaus Signature Course — a par-71 layout that opened in 2005 — with its Golf House recognized by Golf Digest as the country's best new clubhouse.
