A 24-foot open hearth is the restaurant’s centerpiece, and our passion for cooking over wood comes through in every dish. Named after characters in Mark Twain’s The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, King + Duke nods to classic literature and American traditions. The locally sourced dishes harken back to the way food used to be prepared: cooking over fire is a primitive technique that lets the ingredients speak for themselves. Parties of up to 14 people can be accommodated in the private Drawing Room, which can be hired with a preset or open menu. This totally enclosed area is located on the upper floor and has historic oil paintings, plush chairs, a built-in library, and a flat-screen television that is accessible for use if desired. In combination with a spectacular wall of floor-to-ceiling windows and a music system with individual volume control, this space creates an enticingly pleasurable atmosphere. There is a meal and beverage minimum requirement. To accommodate special events, the restaurant can be closed to the general public for your convenience. After graduation Tomo took a job working for a Japanese trading company where he sourced the highest quality seafood from the Japanese markets. He developed a superb eye for quality and love for amazing ingredients. Tomo soon realized that his true passion lay in the kitchen and began his quest to become one of the worlds leading minds in the world of contemporary Japanese cuisine. Tomo's unique and extensive skills soon landed him in Las Vegas working in the famed Nobu. Here he was able to take his extensive skills to the next level by working the "omakase" station creating inspired tasting menus for the Vegas elite. In 2011, when one of Atlanta's most celebrated and talented NBA players, Kevin Willis #42, teamed up with an award-winning and seasoned Los Angeles event designer/planner, they created a highly styled and vibrant event space! 42West Entertainment Group's event venue has emerged as one of Atlanta's most sought-after exclusive hot spots thanks to a clear aesthetic vision and nearly three decades of entertainment and celebrity-focused event experience. Event environments that are luxurious, exclusive, and creative are enhanced by the use of exquisite elements. 42West Entertainment Group extends a warm welcome. In terms of giving back to the communities in which they live, Kevin and Lauren have been at it for a long time. Between them, Kevin and Lauren have invested their hearts and souls into the underserved populations of inner cities all across the United States. They were able to create what is perhaps the most unique aspect of 42West Entertainment Group as a result of their non-profit experience. The duo came to the conclusion that the only way they could devote their full attention to an event space was to ensure that it included a significant give-back program. This will result in the donation of 42West to non-profit organizations in the metro Atlanta area at no cost to the organizations. Proctor Farm is a 23-acre private wedding estate in Rome, Georgia, set within the foothills of the North Georgia Mountains. The property was originally built as a concert venue by owners Kathy and Michael Proctor, who hosted performances by members of Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Marshall Tucker Band, and Charlie Daniels Band on the grounds. Over time, the Proctors expanded the property into a full wedding venue, constructing dedicated ceremony and reception spaces that blend rustic character with vintage elegance. The estate offers four distinct event areas. The Outdoor Chapel is a permanent structure of stacked stone, timber, and stained-glass windows, lined with church pews for open-air ceremonies. The Indoor Chapel wraps eight 19th-century stained-glass windows around a warmly lit interior, entered by a cobblestone walkway past a fountain and evergreen landscape. The Banquet Hall seats up to 200 guests beneath crystal chandeliers. The Saloon — a converted horse barn — provides a stage, DJ stand, photo booth, dance floor, and a second-floor balcony, built on the same space where the Proctors once hosted live music. Each event is supported by Kathy Proctor as wedding coordinator and director, with Michael Proctor serving as sound engineer and designer. The venue hosts one wedding per weekend.
