Nestled in the hills of the South Livermore Valley on 21 acres of olive orchards, vineyards, and gardens, The Purple Orchid Wine Country Resort & Spa is a luxury boutique resort and event destination in California's wine country. The property hosts weddings, corporate retreats, and social gatherings for 20 to 250 guests across four distinct outdoor and indoor event spaces. The resort features the Orchard Lawn, an outdoor setting with panoramic views of the olive orchard and rolling hills accommodating up to 250 guests, alongside the Olive Branch Event Center, a 2,300-square-foot indoor venue for up to 120 guests with high ceilings, dimmable globe chandeliers, and garden-view windows. A landscaped garden and a poolside area round out the offerings for more intimate gatherings. A wide range of activities, including wedding receptions, concerts, talks, conferences, and meetings, are held in our Main Sanctuary for the benefit of the entire community. The majestic and well-known dome of the Temple crowns the building's soaring interior. The chandeliers in black and gold, as well as the two gorgeous stained glass windows that shine on either side of the room, provide a soft glow to the space. The Martin Meyer Sanctuary is located adjacent to the Main Sanctuary. Weddings Congregation Emanu-El is committed to making each wedding an authentic reflection of your Jewish religion and dedication to one another. We aim to achieve this goal with every wedding. In the sacred places of our Main and Martin Meyer Sanctuaries, we welcome people of all Jewish faiths and denominations to worship. All of the couples meet with the rabbi or cantor of their choosing to discuss the ritual and significance of the construction of a Jewish home in general. No matter what your religious affiliation, our rabbis and cantor are available to officiate at weddings for Jewish and interfaith couples of either gender. Interfaith couples must agree to meet the Temple's requirements for interfaith marriage before the ceremony can take place.

The Los Altos History Museum occupies a unique corner of Los Altos, California — one of the few remaining apricot orchards in the Santa Clara Valley. Opened in 2001 on a publicly accessible campus at 51 S. San Antonio Road, the museum's three-level, 8,200-square-foot main building was constructed entirely with private donations before ownership transferred to the City of Los Altos in 2002. The museum campus encompasses the main building, which houses rotating and permanent exhibitions, and the J. Gilbert Smith House — a restored 1905 farmhouse set across a landscaped courtyard. Gardens and grounds connect the historic structures and remain open to the public even when the buildings are closed. For private events, the museum offers both indoor and outdoor rental spaces: the garden setting among heritage oak trees and the remaining apricot orchard, and the main gallery inside the period building.
