The Downtown YMCA at 601 North 4th Street and the Kerasotes YMCA at 4550 W Iles Ave each offer party and rental packages designed for groups and celebrations. Event options span the facility's signature spaces: gymnasium parties with access to courts and equipment, ninja wall climbing parties, swimming pool parties, and gymnastics parties with trained staff on hand. The Inn at 835 is a boutique hotel and full-service event venue set in a turn-of-the-century building in Springfield, Illinois, two blocks from the Illinois State Capitol in the Aristocracy Hill neighborhood. The property blends historic character with modern amenities, and is part of Conn's Hospitality Group, a Springfield-based family business with roots going back to 1948. Three distinct event spaces give the venue flexibility across guest counts and event styles. The Conservatory, a 3,400-square-foot space with nine-foot ceilings, accommodates up to 240 guests for seated receptions and 300 for cocktail events. The Parlor Rooms offer an intimate setting for up to 75 seated or 125 cocktail guests, suitable for showers, celebrations, and business gatherings. The Outdoor Garden, adjacent to The Conservatory, hosts up to 150 seated guests amid landscaped courtyards. In-house catering is provided through Conn's Catering & Events, and rental packages include tables, chairs, linens, china service, and centerpieces. The Artisans Building is one of Springfield's most sought-after event spaces, situated on the grounds of the Illinois State Fairgrounds. Constructed in 1898 and the second-oldest building on the fairgrounds, it underwent major renovation in 1988 and has since become one of the most frequently rented facilities on the property. The building spans 6,400 square feet with an open floor plan, finished hardwood floors, and chandeliers overhead. Four entrances — including two 20-foot-wide drive-through doors — make load-in straightforward for large events. The space is fully heated and air-conditioned, with ADA-accessible restrooms and electric outlets on every beam. Equally at home hosting wedding receptions, concerts, trade shows, dog shows, high school proms, and meetings, the Artisans Building accommodates a wide range of gatherings with flexible, self-directed setup options.
