After decades, the ballrooms have been restored and have officially opened their doors once more. The Alexandria ballrooms offers a variety of environments. City Market South breathes new life into the oldest wholesale produce market in Los Angeles, bringing world-class dining and cocktails, one-of-a-kind retail and Class-A creative office space to distinct buildings that all surround an open central plaza. Each space has been reimagined for the demanding business, adamant that the space they inhabit is a reflection of who they are, what they do and the quality of what they produce. City Market South is 75,000 SF of vintage, brick and bow truss warehouses and open plan concrete structures on 2.5 acres at the southern end of the original City Market wholesale produce center. The City Market of Los Angeles was founded in 1909 as a cooperative of farmers seeking a central distribution center in Los Angeles. These same founding families maintain ownership and control of the company to this day.

Every event is a new, singular, one-of-a-kind installation that combines detail-oriented intuition with design-centric savvy to create a unique experience for guests. Fashion shows, galas, charity dinners, art exhibits, weddings, and awards ceremonies have all been created and hosted by us. We also design and produce events. We are a venue that is alive and pulsing, and we can be customized to fit your vision. Seven-Degrees is a juxtaposition of refined luxury and contemporary angles in a contemporary setting. The modern architectural piece, which was completed in 2001, serves as a canvas for local artists and events. Everything about the venue is unique, from the smallest seven-degree corner after which it is named to the native succulent landscaping and contemporary rooms. "Café Basque Los Angeles is a love letter. Straddling the borders of France and Spain, wedged between the Pyrenees and the Atlantic, the Pays Basque (Basque Country) is fiercely independent and culturally and linguistically distinct from anywhere in the world. The cooking is joyful, generous and uncomplicated. Overflowing with excellent local products from the mountains and the sea, it has the particularity of being marked by the use of sweet and mildly hot peppers. Named after a town in the mountains above the port of St Jean de Luz, Espelette peppers were imported from central and south America in the 16th century and are a cornerstone of Basque cuisine in the same way that the American tomato has defined a large part of Italian cooking. Meanwhile, amid this rich culture and history, the Basque coast has been one of the world’s great surf destinations since the 1960s. Someone who writes a love letter is not necessarily a specialist on the subject and I do not pretend to be a specialist in Basque cooking. My love affaire is with France and its regions which have been an infinite source of inspiration to me for more than 20 years.
