Housed in a historic former textile factory in the heart of downtown Commerce, the Commerce Civic Center blends industrial heritage with modern event versatility. The building — originally home to the Blue Bell/Wrangler plant — was purchased by the city in 1988 and most recently underwent a complete renovation, reopening in January 2025 with updated spaces and a new outdoor courtyard available for rental. The center sits 60 miles north of Atlanta in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains and offers five distinct event spaces spanning a range of sizes. The Harmony Grove Room on the upper level is the venue's largest, accommodating up to 750 guests with its factory-style windows, hardwood floors, wet bar, and access to a commercial kitchen. On the main level, the Commerce Room seats up to 100 guests and features hardwood floors and an in-house sound system with wireless microphones; the Cold Sassy Room holds up to 65 guests in a space defined by exposed brick walls; the Peach Room accommodates up to 40; and the Executive Board Room provides a table setting for up to 12. The Civic Center is available for weddings, receptions, banquets, business meetings, pageants, and private gatherings, with rental inquiries handled by the city's events staff.

Our farm is only 12 miles from I-85 and the Tanger Outlet Center in Commerce, as well as 16 miles from downtown Athens. Our 8,000 square foot climate-controlled main building features a spacious bridal suite with make-up counters and private restroom, a groom's suite, a prep kitchen for caterers to warm and plate food, an open concept banquet hall that can accommodate up to 225 guests for a sit-down dinner with plenty of room for your dance floor and DJ, a grand indoor and outdoor stone fireplace, and a cover charge. In addition to the main building, the grounds at Grant Hill Farm include a 4,000 square foot open air barn. It can be used for rehearsal dinners, ceremonies with a cover, or as part of your wedding reception. The tranquil rolling hills provide the perfect backdrop for our primary outdoor ceremony setting, which includes a fixed arbor. There is a separate cabin on the property that has toilet and changing facilities, as well as a sleeping loft and a kitchenette. The Hill is a historic weddings and events venue set on a private property a few miles from downtown Athens, Georgia. The grounds feature four period-furnished homes that have been artfully preserved — the Hodgson Lumpkin House, the Donald-Epting House, the Rock House, and the Quinn Cottage — spanning architectural styles from the late 1700s through the early twentieth century. Each home offers its own character: the Donald-Epting House anchors the property with gardens, open fields, and an in-ground pool; the Rock House is a solid fieldstone cottage built in 1920; and the Quinn Cottage provides a large back porch overlooking the grounds. Together the homes create a self-contained retreat well suited for full wedding weekends, combining ceremony and reception space with on-site overnight accommodations.
