The Mezzanine Level The semi-private Mezzanine, which is located on the upper level and overlooks the Main Dining Room below, features exposed brick walls and large arched windows in a loft-like setting. In order to maintain privacy, heavy draperies and custom shoji screens can be closed if desired. It can accommodate up to 18 people. The Wine Library is a place where you can learn about wine. The Wine Library, which is located on the lower level of the restaurant, is the ideal setting for groups of 10 to 70 people. The room is equipped with a built-in wireless AV system, as well as separate men's and women's restrooms. As guests enter, they are immediately drawn to our dramatic floor-to-ceiling wine display, which continues to be a recurring theme throughout the space. Comfortable lighting and warm, rich colors contribute to a relaxing atmosphere. 888 BANQUET & EVENT SPACE: China Live is an interactive culinary and cultural destination located at the entrance to San Francisco's Chinatown, offering a comprehensive look into Greater Chinese cuisine. Our goal is to demystify Chinese ingredients and cuisine while also educating guests about the country's rich history and cultural heritage. China Live can accommodate small gatherings of 10 individuals to large reception-style events with up to 825 people and many sensory experiences. MARKET RESTAURANT: Our first-floor restaurant offers a seasonal menu that changes daily and is prepared at eight specialized stations that combine traditional Chinese and Western culinary technology. A major dining space serves as the focal point, with handcrafted seats and tables made from reclaimed Chinese elm in China. These exhibition kitchens, which have plenty of bar seating, allow you to get a closer look at the skilled chefs at work. The wok station combines European and Chinese flair, with a state-of-the-art Hestan range on one side and an extensive custom-designed wok line by Joe Yick, a third-generation family business in San Francisco, on the other. The charcuterie station features a deep wood-fired oven, similar to a pizza oven in concept, but serving classic roast duck and chicken instead. DESIGN: A Chinese clay oven, similar to an Indian tandoor, is a three-foot tall receptacle resembling an enormous vase that sustains low heat over charcoal fire for an extended period of time, suitable for low and slow roasting pork. Dumplings, in particular, scream Chinese cuisine. This station, which serves as the restaurant's focal point, is equipped with enormous cast iron pans for cooking pot stickers and a variety of steamed and pan-fried dumplings. Many presenters find this a valuable option to ensure that a copy of their presentation is available to them on-site.
