Appleford is one of Pennsylvania's most romantic venues. This historic Pennsylvania estate is located on 24 beautiful acres in Villanova, Pennsylvania, in the heart of Philadelphia's Main Line. Drive down the long pine-lined driveway to ponds, a waterfall, manicured gardens and an alee of trees in this arboretum and bird sanctuary. The estate has been used as a wedding venue creating lasting memories for more than 50 years. Facilities and Capacity The flagstone terrace directly in front of the house is tented from April-November and can accommodate 200 guests for seating. The gardens complete the Appleford experience. Wooded acres envelop the property with gardens surrounding the estate for your cocktail hour and enjoyment. Gardens off the terrace include the walled/perennial garden and the rose garden with a small fountained pond. Behind the home is a beautiful boxwood maze enhanced with statuary, the Medallion garden, the alee of Chinese dogwood trees, and the greenhouse. Large wedding ceremonies typically occur by the waterfall and weeping willow trees directly in front of the estate. The use of the house consists of; the Music Room, the Pine Room, the Dining Room, the Kitchen, and a Groom’s lounge. There is also a Bride’s bedroom suite for use on the second floor and the Puppy House (small den) adjacent to the first floor off the outside reception area used to drop off your décor and other items the morning of your event. The house is air-conditioned, however the reception, for the most part - especially seating - would be outside on the terrace. Appleford also has a piano and three gas fireplaces on the first floor of the house to add to the charm and ambiance of your event. Cuisine Appleford clients may select a caterer from an exclusive list of eight caterers: Catering By Design, Feastivities Events, Feast Your Eyes, John Serock Catering, Perfect Setting Catering, Sage Catering. Seedling & Sage, and 12th Street Catering. These caterers provide a complete setup and breakdown for weddings and receptions. If alcohol is being served, clients can provide their on alcohol (a cost savings) with the bartenders provided by the caterers. Other Services Clients are welcome to select a dj/band, florist, photographer, videographer and other vendors of their choice.

The venue sits on a historic 32-acre property overlooking the Schuylkill Valley, with a recently renovated ballroom offering natural light, a large dance floor, and views of the surrounding grounds. The single ballroom space spans 3,800 square feet and holds up to 250 guests theatre-style or 225 for seated events, suiting everything from weddings and bar and bat mitzvahs to corporate meetings and awards ceremonies. It comes equipped with a full bar, a state-of-the-art kitchen, WiFi, a wireless microphone system, and a built-in projector and screen for presentations, along with a bridal party changing room and an outdoor lawn area. Wyndham Alumnae House sits on the campus of Bryn Mawr College, a fieldstone farmhouse built in 1796 that once served as home to Quaker widow Patience Morgan and, later, industrialist Theodore Ely, who renamed the property Wyndham in 1893. Bryn Mawr College acquired the house in 1926, restoring the original structure and adding a modern wing funded by alumnae donations. Notable guests over the years have included Katharine Hepburn, Sandra Day O'Connor, and Gloria Steinem. The venue offers both indoor and outdoor spaces for events, from intimate dinners for two to elegant sit-down dinners for up to 150 guests, with cocktails and dancing on its flagstone terrace. Guests gather among wonderfully appointed rooms with understated elegance, just steps from Bryn Mawr College's historic gardens and arboretum. Wyndham is suited to weddings, special occasions, catered business meetings, and banquets, with catering services arranged through the college's dining services team.

Chestnut Hill College hosts weddings, corporate events, and social gatherings in historic Saint Joseph Hall, on the college's campus in Philadelphia's Chestnut Hill neighborhood. The Hall's Rotunda and adjacent Parlors give the venue its character, offering a distinctive, historic setting for celebrations. The Rotunda accommodates up to 125 guests for cocktail-style or theater-style events, or seats 96 guests at rounds of eight. The East Parlor and Redmond Room hold up to 150 guests for cocktail or theater-style setups, 60 in a classroom configuration, or seat 120 guests at rounds of eight. Event packages include catering and a full range of audiovisual support, with the College's events team available to arrange site visits and answer questions about available dates.

Morris Arboretum & Gardens is a 92-acre public garden in Philadelphia's Chestnut Hill neighborhood, affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania. For weddings, the arboretum offers exclusive access to its woodlands, meadows, and gardens, with couples choosing from five distinct ceremony locations across the grounds, including the Rose Garden and the Log Cabin. Cocktail hour can take place at Out on a Limb, a treetop platform roughly 40 feet above ground with views across the property, before guests move to a tented reception on the Front Lawn strung with bistro lighting. Full weddings accommodate up to 175 guests, or 155 with a designated dance floor, and run from April through October. The arboretum also hosts smaller ceremony-only bookings and self-guided micro ceremonies for up to 15 people. All private events include admission to the grounds, accessible restrooms, garden pathways, and free parking, with catering handled by one of five approved partner teams. Beyond weddings, the historic Widener Welcome Center, an 1888 stone building, provides meeting and retreat space, including boardroom, classroom, and gallery rooms, along with an open-air hillside tent for larger gatherings.

The 1912 Club is a private country club in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania, set on 127 acres in Montgomery County. Founded in 1912 after a series of planning meetings held during the winter of 1911-1912, the club's original farmhouse from that era remains part of today's clubhouse. Its 18-hole championship course was designed by golf architect William S. Flynn, and the layout was revitalized beginning in 2018 under architect Ron Prichard and associate Tyler Rae, who worked to preserve the course's original character while updating its design. Non-members are welcome to host events at the club, and the 20,000-square-foot clubhouse offers a choice of spaces for weddings, rehearsal dinners, showers, and corporate events, from intimate gatherings to celebrations of up to 300 guests. Event spaces include the Ballroom, Sunset Grille, Terrace Room, and a dedicated Bridal Suite, several of which open onto views of the golf course. The clubhouse also includes a golf simulator lounge for guests looking to add an activity to their event.
