Founded in 1930 when industrialist Al Wenrick set out to turn 150 acres of Dayton-area farmland into a golf course, Walnut Grove Country Club has grown into one of the area's established private clubs. The course opened in 1935, operating initially as Green-Mont Country Club before taking its current name as the property came to straddle county lines. While the golf course remains the club's cornerstone, Walnut Grove also welcomes weddings, rehearsal dinners, corporate meetings, bridal and baby showers, anniversary parties, retirement celebrations, fundraisers, and holiday gatherings across six distinct venues.
