The original Houston Heights Fire Station No. 14 is located at Yale and 12th Street, approximately 4 miles north of downtown Houston, and is the last remaining municipal facility from the era when the Heights was a separate municipality. Houston's first public meeting hall, City Hall, fire station, and jail were all constructed in 1914 at a time when horse-drawn fire wagons were still the primary means of transportation. When it became Station Number 14 in 1918, it would remain that way until 1987, when it was permanently decommissioned for the last time. The Houston Heights Association voted in the early millennium to save the building and restore it to its former splendor, and they were successful. After repairing the building and installing vintage carriage-style doors in homage to the horse-drawn carriages of the early twentieth century, when the corral was located directly behind the fire station, The H.H.A. was able to reopen the corral. After being purchased by the Houston Height Association in 1979, the property has since grown to become one of the most popular outdoor wedding venues in the city of Houston. River Oaks Garden Club, a member of The Garden Club of America, was founded in 1927 and has made numerous contributions to the Houston community in the areas of conservation, horticulture, and civic beautification. River Oaks Garden Club is a member of The Garden Club of America. The proceeds from the Azalea Trail are used to support the following ongoing projects: Louise Stevenson, a founding member of the River Oaks Garden Club, was the driving force behind the organization's inception. She persuaded her next-door neighbor, Hennie Cottingham, to join her in forming some sort of civic beautification organization to address the critical need for civic beautification in the River Oaks neighborhood. When the Garden Club's first official meeting was held on October 27, 1927, it was attended by 29 members, and it marked the beginning of a thriving and growing organization that was eventually admitted into the Garden Club of America in 1938. The members of the club quickly gained knowledge in the areas of gardening, garden design, horticulture, and flower arranging, among other things. They used their newfound knowledge to encourage others to get involved in improving the planted environment in Houston. There are no commercial, political, or fundraising purposes permitted on the Forum. Teen parties are also prohibited on the Forum. The maximum number of people who can fit into the space is 175. HPD security will be provided, and all functions must be completed and the building cleaned and vacated by midnight on the day of the rental agreement. The building manager must approve any outside catering, and all rental equipment must be picked up after the event unless otherwise agreed upon with the building manager.

The Farm is located in southeast Texas and has a historic mansion known as "the Broussard house," which was erected in 1857. Guests can enjoy the exquisite dancing venue, Sevenne Hall, while on the premises. The Sevenne Broussard House, which has been wonderfully renovated, is steeped in history and a bygone era's prominence. You have a lot of alternatives when you choose Broussard Farm. The Oak Atelier is a one stop shop for professional photography, private event space, and woodworking. We have over 2500 square feet of interior space and 5 acres of open and wooded outdoor space just outside of The Woodlands, Texas. There are four different spaces available for rent, each with its own set of characteristics that make this location genuinely unique. The majority of the furniture is manufactured in our woodworking shop (special orders are welcome!). We have enough of parking and paved access for you to dump your belongings. There is also a gray plastered pool for underwater photography, as well as a lovely white brick facade, making this place ideal for any shot or event! When I was trying to come up with ideas for this space, a few things came to mind. I enjoy both a clean, modern style and the flavor and detailed design of old world Europe. This studio is a hybrid of the two, providing something extra special and unusual. The 17 foot ceilings, massive 9 foot doors salvaged from old mansions, polished concrete floors, and exposed brick are just a few of the features that give this space its unique personality. We primarily serve professional photographers and offer hourly studio rental, as well as wardrobe rental and a selection of larger furniture pieces that can be put up in any location. I can personally attest to how amazing this place is for private occasions after having my husband and I's wedding reception here!
