Post House Ballroom brings together historic architecture and refined event settings in Dixon, Illinois. The venue occupies a landmark building distinguished by its arched windows, soaring ceilings, and grand stone exterior — a setting well-suited to weddings, receptions, showers, reunions, and other private celebrations. The ballroom offers two distinct event environments: a formal main hall configured for seated dinners and ceremonies, and a light-filled arched corridor ideal for cocktail hours and social gatherings. Events at Post House Ballroom benefit a greater purpose — the venue is operated by Lee County Council on Aging, and all proceeds support services for seniors and disabled residents in the community.

Wedding packages include two (2) night accomodations (seven double occupancy bridal suite, suites and rooms), whole property, covered garden pagoda, indoor Carriage House ground level space adjacent to outdoor spaces for reception (instead of a tent), water garden, and farm to table custom breakfast both mornings. Imagine the no stress of one location for rehearsal, getting ready, ceremony and reception. From small and intimite micro-weddings, elopments or up to 125 (as COVID protocols permit.) Lincoln Way Stay is a destination property set on 110 acres of prairie, wetlands, and apple orchard in Franklin Grove, Illinois, 80 miles west of Chicago and three miles from the Nature Conservancy's Nachusa Grasslands. The 1912 main house was opened to guests in 2015 and reimagined in 2024 as a fully private retreat centered on the Carriage House Loft and King Suite — a stand-alone building offering a private entrance, heated indoor parking, a full kitchen, a spacious living room, and a king suite with an electric fireplace and Jacuzzi tub. The grounds reflect the owners' deep connection to the natural landscape: a certified National Wildlife Federation Wildlife Habitat water garden with a koi pond, fountain, and flowing creek sits just outside the Carriage House alongside a yoga lawn, fireside pagoda, cedar sauna, and outdoor fireplace. The property has hosted weddings, intimate gatherings, and private celebrations in these outdoor spaces, drawing couples and groups who value seclusion, natural beauty, and a countryside setting that is rare this close to Chicago.

The Barn at Allen Acres is an authentic 1920s-style dairy barn set on a 3.5-acre rural property in Rock Falls, Illinois. Restored as a wedding venue, the barn features a 26-foot vaulted ceiling with exposed wooden beams that give the space its signature rustic character. The two-story barn accommodates up to 200 guests for ceremonies on the upper floor and comfortably hosts up to 150 guests for receptions. Forty farmhouse tables made from reclaimed barn wood and 400 mismatched wood chairs are available to couples at no additional charge, alongside four cocktail tables and an assortment of barn decor. The bridal party may use the farmhouse on the property to prepare before the ceremony. Outdoor ceremonies are also possible on the grounds, and the venue works with licensed caterers of the couple's choosing. The Barn at Allen Acres allows couples to bring their own vendors, giving them flexibility in planning their day.
