Located in New York City, The Love Shack is a surreal photographic location and event space. Alexander and Brittany Love designed and built two life-size dollhouses inside an abandoned industrial building in Bushwick, Brooklyn. A large majority of the pieces of furniture and lighting you see are either original designs, or they have been restored and modified from their original forms. Some of our pieces, such as our one-of-a-kind lighting designs and The Library Chair, are available for purchase. In addition to photoshoots, small corporate events like cocktail parties, weddings, and other intimate gatherings, the Love Shack can be used as a performance space or as a screening room. Rates and capacity will vary depending on the nature of your event, so please contact us for more information. • Maximum Standing Capacity: 50 people (We recommend no more than 40) • There are casual seating areas scattered throughout the space for up to 25 people. • Formal dining room for up to 32 people. • (tables and chair rental on request) • Complete with stove/oven, refrigerator/freezer, and dishwasher (no microwave) • There is a single full bathroom. • Verizon WiFi is extremely fast. • HDMI cable connects a high-definition 1920 x 1080 video projector to a 7 x 4 ft screen. • Bluetooth connectivity for a 1000-watt JBL speaker • Effective ductless air conditioning and heating that is quiet. • Two large capacity Alen Breathesmart HEPA air purifiers in the main space, as well as an Airthreal HEPA air purifier in the restroom, all of which are operational around the clock. Plan your wedding at The Loeb Boathouse Central Park and create one-of-a-kind moments and memories in one of New York City's most iconic venues. Whether celebrating a special anniversary, meeting an old friend for lunch or enjoying a little spontaneous refreshment—The Loeb Boathouse offers one-of-a-kind choices to satisfy all of your senses. Designed to beautifully coexist with its natural surroundings, it is the only Manhattan venue right on a lake—allowing you to host your wedding, Bar or Bat Mitzvah, or corporate event in spectacular fashion. While you’re here, why not join a 150-year-old tradition and explore the lake in a rented rowboat. Better yet, take a ride in an authentic Venetian gondola. With any luck, your gondolier might even break into song. Facility Rental Fee: The venue does not charge a rental fee, but there is a guest minimum—Saturday evening’s minimum is 165 guests, and for Friday or Sunday the minimum is 125 guests. What’s Included: -Five hour exclusive access to Lake Room, at 4,300 sq. ft space that is located adjacent to the restaurant. The room overlooks the lake on the South side with a 450 sq. ft deck and is surrounded on the West and North side by a 3,300 sqft English Garden. -Cocktail hour with butlered hors d’oeuvres, followed by a four course seated meal with choice of two entrées. -Wine service is provided throughout the meal in addition to a five hour open bar. We also include: Tables Chairs Linens Serveware Votives Dance floor Onsite manager Outdoor lighting Venue setup and cleanup Coat check Vendors: Outside vendors are allowed except for food and beverage and flowers and décor, which must be selected from a list of approved vendors. Food and Beverage: Prices range from $165-$245 per person Extras: If a ceremony is held at the venue, $800 is charged for an additional hour. Also, NY tax of 8.875%, 9% gratuity (which goes directly to the staff), and a 13.5% administration fee is charged.
