The land and structures at 35 Panhandle Road in West Tisbury are steeped in history, and this is evident throughout the property. It was formerly owned by Edwin Newhall "Bob" Woods (the great-grandson of founding father and first Secretary of the Society, Henry L. Whiting), and it now contains the "new" Agricultural Hall, two animal barns, an outdoor riding ring, and outbuildings. The Agricultural Hall was built on 20+ acres at the intersection of State and Panhandle Roads. Surrounded by open space with old growth trees dispersed throughout and backed on one side by a big hayfield, the location emanates peace and beauty typical of rural settings. A wooden barn formerly located in rural New Hampshire was meticulously demolished board by board, numbered labeled, packed, and packaged before being transported to the island by 42 volunteer 'Barnbusters' in the spring of 1994. In November of that year, hundreds of people from all around the island came together in a confluence of generosity to assist in the raising, sheathing, shingling, and painting of the 'new' Hall. Adding a front hall and verandah in the style and spirit of the 'old' Ag Hall, which is now known as the Grange Hall, on State Road, was a priority. It is possible to rent out the land for a limited number of events such as weddings and funerals, as well as religious, non-profit, educational, and governmental functions, as well as agricultural and allied operations. Birthday and anniversary parties are not permitted at this time. Operating as the region's exclusive single-event venue, it offers clients undivided attention and sole access to the entire property for their celebration. Indoor and outdoor event spaces include the Grand View Ballroom, Bella Vista, the Terraza, the Cocktail Room with Patio Bar, and a Wedding Suite available for pre-event preparations. All-inclusive packages cover an open bar, four-course plated dinner, a five-hour reception with cocktail hour, and dedicated event specialist support. The course was carved out of a lovely peninsula or "Neck" of farmland on the eastern coast of the Island, abutting Vineyard Sound, when it was developed. The Chestnut Room at Blissful Meadows Golf Club is a one-of-a-kind setting in which to host a reception for your guests. The Chestnut Room, which is located on the second floor of our historic, Victorian barn, which was built in 1880, features exposed chestnut beams and stunning views of our 18-hole golf course, as well as a fireplace. In addition to providing natural backgrounds with seasonal foliage, the course itself includes a gazebo area set among perennial gardens, an antique horse buggy, and a variety of antique cars, all of which make for excellent photographic opportunities. It is handicap accessible via an enclosed elevator, and the Chestnut Room at Blissful Meadows can accommodate up to 185 guests in comfort and style. Our new Pavilion, which overlooks the Blissful Meadows grounds and historic clubhouse, has earned the title of "Highest Point in Uxbridge" by being the "Highest Point in Uxbridge." This open-air structure can accommodate up to 200 guests and is equipped with sliding doors that completely seal off the enclosure from inclement weather and other elements of nature. An additional feature of this location is the adjacent gaming area, which is included in your rental fee and is available for optional yard games. There is a separate ceremony site with a natural wood arbor on the Pavilion grounds that can be rented out for an additional fee. THE ROOM OF THE BLACKSMITH We used to have a blacksmith shop in our private dining room, which was originally part of the working quarry. The forge, which was the hearth of the blacksmith, was where granite cutting tools were created, repaired, and sharpened. The Blacksmith Room is decorated with wrought-iron chandeliers, skylights, and vintage sconces that were imported from Europe. When set up as a king-style table, the room can comfortably accommodate 22 guests, or up to 30 people when set up as 5 tables of 6. The perfect setting for a rehearsal dinner, business presentation, family gathering, or cocktail party. THE ROOM WITH THE STONES There are large dark wood bamboo dividers separating this private function space from the main dining room, creating a spacious event space with stone-walled cathedral ceilings, wall mounted wine racks, and floor to ceiling windows. Tucked away toward the front of the building, The Stone Room is the ideal setting for your special occasion or reception. Can accommodate a 30-person event, complete with buffet and cake serving areas as well as gift-giving areas DESCRIPTION OF THE QUARRY ROOM Our Main Dining Room, which overlooks our granite quarry and patio, provides breathtaking views through a wall of full-height glass windows. Along with cathedral ceilings, rustic exposed wood beams, skylights, and wrought-iron chandeliers, the Quarry Room has a warm and inviting atmosphere. Eight four-person leather booths, as well as flexible table arrangements, can accommodate a total of 55 people. This space, when combined with our Stone Room, can accommodate up to 95 guests.

Founded in 1918 as a private nonprofit, the organization makes its natural grounds available for weddings, corporate retreats, holiday parties, and private celebrations of all kinds. Event facilities span several distinct settings. North Beach stretches 300 feet along 55-acre Noanet Pond with sunset views, a pavilion, and room for up to 200 guests. The Orchard & Barn pairs a charming barn structure with an apple orchard and butterfly garden, accommodating up to 100. Powissett Lodge brings the gathering indoors with cathedral ceilings, hardwood floors, a fireplace, a full kitchen, and a deck — all handicap-accessible — for groups of up to 100. Hale can recommend event vendors who know the property well, giving planners a head start on building a team suited to the setting.

Venus De Milo is a family-owned event facility in Swansea, Massachusetts that has hosted celebrations across southern New England for more than 60 years. Founded in 1960 by Monsour J. Ferris, the venue carries three generations of Ferris family hospitality — and a legacy of notable guests that has included Frank Sinatra, Ted Kennedy, and Danny Thomas. The building spans eight banquet rooms with a combined seating capacity of more than 2,000 guests, accommodating everything from intimate gatherings to large-scale galas. Generously sized dance floors, modern audiovisual equipment — including ceiling projectors, broadcast equipment, and wireless microphones — and high-speed WiFi are available throughout. Temperature-controlled storage is offered for wedding materials and décor. Venus De Milo hosts weddings, corporate meetings and conventions, proms, senior celebrations, and private parties. The venue welcomes approved external caterers for multi-cultural events and completed a comprehensive interior renovation beginning in fall 2022.

McGovern's on the Water is a family-owned restaurant and banquet facility in Fall River, Massachusetts, established in 1968. Over more than 50 years and three generations of the McGovern family, the venue has grown from a small neighborhood restaurant into a full-service event destination. The property spans 10 acres along the shores of Laurel Lake, with picturesque gardens, manicured lawns, and a romantic gazebo suited for outdoor ceremonies and photographs. Two banquet rooms together accommodate gatherings of up to 250 guests, supported by the venue's in-house catering program that reflects the family's deep commitment to quality, locally sourced food. Established in 1895, the club occupies a secluded setting along the banks of the Taunton River, and water views carry throughout the clubhouse and the surrounding property. The Historic Abbey is an event venue housed inside a meticulously restored Victorian church at 100 Rock Street in Fall River, Massachusetts. Built in 1878, the building carries a storied past: it served as the parish church of Lizzie Borden, provided the backdrop for Aerosmith's music video "Crying," and later housed the International Culinary Institute of America. Restored in 2015 and reimagined as a dedicated event destination, the space preserves its original stained glass windows, exposed brick, soaring ceilings, and exquisite chandeliers. The venue welcomes a wide range of private occasions — weddings, bridal and baby showers, rehearsal dinners, engagement parties, and corporate events — all within a setting defined by its exceptional architectural character and rich New England history.

The Theatre’s renovations are extensive for both inside and outside of the building and have been made to create the ultimate event experience. There is a brand new raised stage and also previous obstructions on the ground have been removed, in order to give customers the best possible site views to the stage. The stage will have a brand new state-of-the-art sound and lighting system. Artists will have all new dressing rooms to better accommodate their visit. Patrons can enjoy upgraded mezzanine and balcony seating, remodeled VIP areas, multi leveled open room format as well as brand new restrooms and so much more. The Theatre will also soon be receiving a facelift on the front of the building with a new marquee installed in December of 2017.
