Sorensdale Recreation Center is a community event venue in Hayward, California, operated by the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District. Located at 275 Goodwin Street in a quiet cul-de-sac setting near Tennyson High School, the center underwent a full renovation in 2016 and now offers a modern, welcoming environment for private events. The main hall accommodates up to 130 guests and features 20-foot ceilings, large windows that fill the space with natural light, and a commercial kitchen equipped with stainless steel surfaces. A stage and on-site parking round out the facility's event amenities. Sorensdale Recreation Center is available for a wide range of private gatherings — weddings, receptions, auctions, theatrical performances, and community celebrations alike. Rental hours run Monday through Saturday, 9 AM to 10 PM, and Sunday, 9 AM to 8 PM, with a three-hour minimum. The Historic Adobe Building is a California Historical Landmark and National Register of Historic Places property located at 157 Moffett Boulevard in Mountain View, near the edge of downtown. Built in 1934 as a New Deal Civil Works Administration project, the structure features Spanish Revival architecture — terracotta clay tile roofing, thick adobe brick walls, decorative concrete columns, and wrought iron details that reflect early California building tradition. After a community preservation campaign, the building was restored to its 1935 appearance and reopened in 2001. The venue offers two complementary event spaces managed by the City of Mountain View's Recreation Department. The Great Room accommodates up to 100 guests for indoor dining and features exposed trusses, hand-hewn lumber, and a modern catering kitchen. The adjacent patio and lawn area provides an outdoor setting with lush landscaping and a decorative fountain, suited for ceremonies or al fresco receptions. The building is available for private rentals including weddings, birthday celebrations, baby showers, family reunions, corporate meetings, and community gatherings, making it one of the South Bay's most distinctive historic event settings.

MacArthur Park Restaurant and Bar occupies California Historical Landmark No. 895 at 27 University Avenue in Palo Alto — a building constructed during World War I as a Y.W.C.A. Hostess House, designed to serve as a safe meeting place for women and children visiting troops training at nearby Camp Fremont in Menlo Park. The structure has since been preserved as a landmark and transformed into a full-service American restaurant and event venue steps from the Caltrain station. The restaurant offers five private event spaces — the Veteran's Room (100 seated), the Julia Morgan Room (40 seated), Camp Fremont (30 seated), and an outdoor Patio (100 seated, 150 standing) — plus the option to buy out the full dining room for gatherings of up to 550. Events range from intimate board meetings and milestone dinners to wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, and corporate holiday parties. MacArthur Park's American menu draws on local and seasonal ingredients, with an award-winning BBQ program anchoring the kitchen. In-house catering is available for private events, with menus that can be fully customized to the occasion.
