Built in 1786, this square, four-story brick house is the only free-standing Federal townhouse remaining in Society Hill. With its huge doorway fan light (the largest in any Pennsylvania residence in 1786) plus grand proportions and straight, classical lines, Physick House is an exceptional example of the Federal style. It is decorated with outstanding examples of French-influenced Neoclassic furnishings, popular during Dr. Physick's time in the house. The unusually large city garden is a serene and peaceful.

We are the only waterfront hotel in Philadelphia, featuring three unique ballrooms, all with fantastic views of the Delaware River. The Discovery Room offers the utmost privacy on our 3rd floor and can accommodate up to 120 guests for dinner and dancing. Our Columbus Ballroom can hold up to 170 guests and boasts sprawling views of the Delaware river, Spruce Street Park, and the city! We also have our Grand Ballroom that holds upwards of 500 guests and features 17-foot ceilings and a large floor to ceiling window looking directly out to the river!

Royal Boucherie, Old City’s lively neighborhood bistro, is Philadelphia’s award-winning, hidden gem of a venue. The noted three-bell restaurant from Philadelphia Inquirer’s Craig LaBan boasts a rooftop garden fit for a dreamy ceremony, a second-floor dining space utilized for the reception, curated French-forward food and beverage packages, and much more. The restaurant, located in the heart of Philadelphia’s historic Old City district, serves a French-inspired menu with a focus on house-made charcuterie, raw bar specialties, and classic cocktails. We worked diligently to preserve and enhance the building’s historical charm and integrity. The bi-level, 150-seat space features restored finishes such as original pine flooring dating back to the 1830s, as well as tin ceilings, antique light fixtures, and exposed brick walls.

The Historic Powel House and Garden is available for intimate weddings, private dinners, and corporate events. Rates given include up to four hours of event time, however you can purchase additional hours. The 2nd floor ballroom may be used for seated luncheons or dinners of no more than 40 people. We can accommodate up to 75 guests for indoor standing cocktail-style receptions. Outdoor Ceremonies & Receptions max out at 100 guests. Venue rental does not include tenting fees, which are required for all outdoor parties over 40 guests.

We are a quaint neighborhood wine pub & retail wine shop in the historic Headhouse Square. We have a private event space that can comfortably seat up to 20 guests for a seated meal and host up to 35 people for a standing drinks & hors d´ oeuvres affair. For groups of 6-10ppl, we have a semi-private table in our wine shop. The entire restaurant is available to be bought out for larger groups.

The design of Convene 30 S 17th Street is inspired by the city's history and folklore with geometric patterns throughout meant to pay homage to Philadelphia's grid system while jagged edges represent lightning bolts. Not to be outdone, the building lobby features a Lichtenstein sculpture and acclaimed art pieces from a private collection. Our tech department provides your group with future-proof audiovisual equipment and an on-call tech manager complimentary with your room rental. All of our conference rooms are equipped with an LED projector, a screen, Wi-Fi, a flip chart, and a podium with microphone where necessary. We provide trained event staff for each meeting or event so you and your guests are greeted with a friendly face when you walk in the door. They will keep your space clean and your food and beverages refreshed throughout your event. Our renovated facility employs ecologically sensitive Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) principles, including new insulation, wall tile made from recycled glass, and bathroom floors made from recycled cans. We work to be green-minded by forgoing single-use products in favor of china, glassware, and flatware. We also make an effort to donate any leftovers we can.
