A beautiful tree, ancient whiskey barrels, and a covered pavilion make their outdoor space ideal for cocktail hours. There is also a bride's dressing cottage and a groom's dressing cabin, both of which have full bathrooms. We are a family-owned and operated Do-It-Yourself Event Venue that provides you with the option of two unique and distinct indoor/outdoor Venues — the Rustic Barn and our Romantic Garden Hall — for your special occasion. A climate-controlled building houses each venue, which also has an outside Gazebo and Dance Floor with a DJ/Bandstand, as well as a bar for guests. Our staff is welcoming and experienced, and they are happy to assist you in the preparation of your special occasion! In order to really appreciate how magnificent and spacious our facilities are, you must personally visit them and experience them for yourself. Benbrook Stables is one of North Texas' best horse boarding facilities. We exclusively provide high-quality grains and hays to our animals. Whole oats, barley, corn, and oil make up our grain. It has a protein content of 9%, a fat content of 6%, and a fiber content of 6%. There are no by-products or processed by-products in this product. Our hay comes from irrigated farms in Texas and is of the highest quality. Individual stalls with shavings, various secure meadows for daily turnout, a 110 x 330 lighting arena, a smaller lighted riding arena, two round pens, and over 30 miles of gorgeous trails surround Lake Benbrook are just a few of our amenities. The US Army Corps of Engineers maintains the riding trails, which are recognized as horse trails. On the paths, no motorized vehicles are permitted. As a result of our desire to be closer to our children and grandkids, we closed the doors of our long-standing San Antonio-based business, Steve Heflin Architect/Builder (www.steveheflinhomes.com), and relocated to the Ft Worth region in 2011. The idea of a commercial venture that would bring together our talents in design, construction, décor, and hospitality sparked our imaginations, and we began daydreaming and planning for it. Our 35 years of marriage, combined with a sprinkling of supernatural guidance, may have prompted the notion of developing a wedding/event venue that was distinct in both style and beauty for our clients. We discovered a 21-acre farm just outside of historic Weatherford, TX, while searching the Fort Worth countryside. Beautiful trees, natural springs, and pasture area are all part of this estate, which has been in the family for 115 years. We began collecting architectural elements such as 300+ year old doors, gables, mirrors, tables, rustic wagons, gates, and benches from Texas and Santa Fe, using the same expertise and attention to detail Steve used in designing beautiful custom homes. These elements will be used in both a Country Chapel and an Event Center, which will be completed in 2018. This is where the journey begins! Construction began when the land was purchased, the move was completed, the designs were drafted, and the road was built. The Brooks at Weatherford, a new community in Weatherford, is taking shape one step at a time. Even as we cherish the opportunity to be near to our children and grandchildren, we are reminded and assured that marriage is worth the effort of remaining together and, more importantly, worth celebrating. Not only do we intend to provide a lovely setting for celebrations, but also a location where people want to hang out and enjoy themselves. Burleson Recreation Center, known locally as the BRiCk, opened in the spring of 2010 as a 10,000-square-foot recreation and fitness facility offering activities for all ages. The center's indoor aquatic area includes water slides, vortex pools, a current river, and a five-lane lap pool, alongside a separate outdoor pool, making it a natural fit for pool parties and large group gatherings during warmer months. Two 1,400-square-foot meeting rooms, each equipped with audiovisual capabilities and a kitchen area with a microwave, convection oven, sink, and refrigerator, can be rented individually or combined into a single 2,800-square-foot space. These rooms are used for family reunions, wedding receptions, conferences, birthday parties, and baby showers. A patio is also available for larger group events, including receptions and weddings, and a walking track suspended above twin gymnasium floors rounds out the center's amenities.
