Beyond its exhibits, The Museum hosts community programming throughout the year, including its annual Kentucky Derby Party and Family Fun Day at the Train, drawing visitors of all ages into Greenwood's history.

Belmont Inn
104 E Pickens St, Abbeville, SC 29620, USA- Spaces for 100 Guests
The Belmont Inn is a historic hotel in the Abbeville Historic District of Abbeville, South Carolina, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Built in 1903 as the Eureka Hotel at a cost of $30,000, the property once served as a railroad hotel and stopover for Vaudeville performers traveling between New York and Miami, hosting guests including entertainers Fanny Brice and Jimmy Durante and President Jimmy Carter. The building reflects Spanish architectural design, with original details that include a slate roof, a marble veranda, and marble terrazzo floors, along with custom cabinetmaker-built doorways and handcrafted armoires from the early 20th century. After a period of decline in the 1970s, the property underwent extensive restoration in the 1980s and now offers 25 elegantly restored guest rooms that pair historic character with modern comforts like high-speed internet and refined hardwood floors. The Belmont Inn hosts weddings, family reunions, corporate retreats, and other special celebrations, with staff available to help plan private gatherings. The Veranda, an outdoor dining and event space with ambient lighting and scenic surroundings, is used for wedding receptions, anniversaries, and other private events, and the inn's dining room, The Bene Italian Grill, serves guests on-site including a weekly Southern Sunday Lunch.
