Pioneer Works is a 501c3 non-profit that presents programs, public events, artist residencies, and classes — 85% of which are free and open to the public — across the disciplines of visual art, science, music, technology, and narrative arts. Pioneer Works offers unique, scalable spaces and a 20,000-square-foot garden that can accommodate a wide variety of events: from large-scale build outs, conferences and dinners, to film shoots, screenings and intimate receptions. Income generated by rentals goes directly back into supporting our programs, public events, artist residencies and classes. Rental fees ranging from $10,000 - $38,000 are daily rates for 8am–1am. Overages are subject to an additional hourly fee. Non-profit organizations receive a 20% discount off our standard rental pricing. Pioneer Works is a multi-functional space. The top floor of one of the few remaining factory warehouses on the North Williamsburg riverfront is now home to XX Venue, a freshly established, large, nicely restored business space. This one-of-a-kind venue, located at the corner of North 11th Street and Wythe Avenue, features 11,000 square feet of private, multi-purpose studio space and a 4,000 square foot private rooftop. With its flexible white-box architecture, open floor layout, and spectacular waterfront vistas, this extraordinary space has been deliberately built to support a diversity of applications within a historic three-story brick warehouse. The spacious inside space, in addition to the private rooftop access, features numerous expansive open areas as well as six distinct studio rooms, each with over-sized, magnificent arch windows. The XX Venue is a high-end loft with a private rooftop in Williamsburg's burgeoning neighborhood. This venue combines all modern features with Brooklyn character and convenience, and is located in a refurbished warehouse building. Within the facility, there is a panoramic 270-degree view, as well as unimpeded views of the East River and Manhattan skyline from the rooftop. Natural light floods the 15,000 square feet of space. This speakeasy is located near the Williamsburg bridge with its own separate entrance on South 5th St. The space was renovated for creatives and is now available for your use. Thus, the look of the space is rustic and industrial including art murals and brick walls, and high pipe exposed ceilings. The floor has its original concrete, with small drains throughout. The space lets in very little daylight even during peek hours of sunshine. This allows photo and video work to have total control over the lighting. The space also comes with a multicolored LED light system that allows you to control the vibe through the space. We have a 10 foot long L- bar and small kitchen with fridge for food storage. The space is equipped with a WIFI network, great phone reception for any carrier, a powerful sound system with high quality JBL speakers wired together throughout the space, and a dj booth. All renters can use our hanging ceiling movie screen and projector to stage their own film viewings.
