The groundswell began a year before the restaurant's February 2019 grand opening in Candler Park, Georgia. A series of pop-ups, hosted by chefs Ron Hsu and Aaron Phillips (Hsu was raised in Atlanta, and both were educated at Le Bernardin in New York City), helped them refine their menu, which rapidly sold out. The momentum continued to build when Hsu, an Atlanta native, appeared on Netflix's The Final Table, where he impressed viewers with his ability to maintain his cool under pressure. Thus, it came as no surprise when Lazy Betty and its tasting menu eventually opened their doors to the public and became an instant hit. The restaurant, which is jokingly named after Hsu's mother, Betty, who was known for being a tireless worker who could be described as anything but lazy, also draws on the talents of Hsu's siblings and business partners, Howard Hsu and Anita Hsu, who assist in the management of the industrial-chic restaurant.

It is historically significant because of its association with Victor Hugo Kriegshaber, who was a leader in the cultural and economic development of Atlanta during the first third of the twentieth century and who was also the original owner of this house." He commissioned the building to be designed by architect Willis F. Danny just before 1900, and he and his family lived there until their deaths in the year 1924. Denny's work is exemplified by the Kriegshaber residence; he was only in Atlanta for a few years before his untimely death at the age of 31 from pneumonia, but he managed to design many of the city's most prestigious public and private structures before 1905. The house is a notable transitional statement in terms of style, combining late Victorian and eclectic elements in a cohesive whole. The Wrecking Bar Brewpub has three different event spaces, each with a different capacity and atmosphere: the Wrecking Bar Brewpub, the Wrecking Bar Brewpub, and the Wrecking Bar Brewpub. The Biergarten is an event space located in our brewery warehouse that can accommodate up to 42 people seated and up to 100 people standing. There are twelve beer taps and fermentation tanks in the room, so it is definitely a casual venue, and it has a built-in stage, which makes it ideal for celebrations that include live music. It is located within our historic house, The Marianna, and serves as a private dining room for up to 20 people. The space can accommodate up to 30 people for a seated event or 40 people for a standing, cocktail-style event. In addition to dinner parties and get-togethers, the Parlor is an excellent venue for workplace mixers, book clubs, birthday parties, and rehearsal dinners. This is our formal event space, located on the main floor of the house, and it can accommodate up to 250 people in seating capacity. Because of its high ceilings, stained glass windows, and original fireplaces, it is an excellent venue for weddings (both ceremony and reception), breakout sessions, rehearsal dinners, and holiday parties.

The venue is composed of 2 levels of open event space as well a large outdoor courtyard. The main room is 3,600 square feet of chic industrial space with pristine hardwood floors in a chevron pattern. The walls are antique brick with three sides of expansive windows. A tall curved pine ceiling is finished by two ornate iron chandeliers. Take the elevator or the stairs to the lower level where we have an additional 3,600 square feet of event space that includes a furnished lounge area and a beautiful built-in bar. The Biltmore Hotel, which opened its doors in 1924 and served as the center of Atlanta's business and social life for over sixty years. This magnificent landmark was created by the architecture company Shultze and Weaver, which is also responsible for such iconic hotels as The Breakers in Palm Beach, the Waldorf-Astoria in New York, The Pierre, and The Sherry Netherland in Amsterdam. It was formerly referred to as "The South's Supreme Hotel," but the Biltmore was forced to lock its doors in 1982 after a change in ownership and several years of continuous deterioration. When The Biltmore underwent a complete makeover in 1999, it was the result of sixteen years of neglect and abandonment. The result was a combination of Class A office space and retail space, as well as a unique event area. The reconstruction of the Georgian and Imperial Ballrooms, which are now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, allowed The Biltmore to swiftly reclaim its position as one of Atlanta's social and commercial hotspots. The Biltmore Ballrooms, with their original handmade plaster relief ceilings, restored crystal chandeliers, Palladian windows, and Tennessee marble flooring, provide a stunningly breathtaking setting for weddings, business parties, and any other social celebration held in the historic mansion.

Midtown Events Center occupies a fully renovated former church in Bowling Green, Kentucky, nestled near downtown off Fairview Avenue — recognized by the historic Bowling Green water tower nearby. The building retains its original hardwood floors, stained glass windows, and chandeliers, offering a classic architectural backdrop that suits everything from intimate ceremonies to milestone celebrations. The venue hosts weddings, receptions, business meetings, conferences, and private parties. An on-site bridal suite and catering kitchen are included, and outside vendors are welcome, giving clients the flexibility to bring in their preferred caterers, florists, and entertainment. Dedicated parking and both indoor and outdoor space round out the practical side of the facility. Day-of coordination, decorating services, and set-up consultation are available through the venue team, led by Donna, who brings more than 20 years of event planning and decorating experience to each event.

While we were immersed in the virtual world, new event spaces in Atlanta opened their doors to provide us with new opportunities to come together to celebrate and perhaps even share hugs. Here are three of our favorite new venues for hosting corporate and social events alike, all of which have recently opened their doors. Guardian Works is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting the public from harm. What it is is as follows: Guardian Works at Echo Street West is a 19-acre development on the Atlanta BeltLine's Westside Trail that is operated by Novare Events and is home to a variety of events. Condos, a hotel, offices, and other amenities are also available on the property. It has a rustic feel to it, but it also has high-end amenities. This mixed-use development has it all, which is why we love it! The Guardian Works event space, with its renovated brick-and-beam structure and double-height interior, is also a hit with attendees. The 1908 building, which has 8,000 square feet of interior space, also has 4,000 square feet of covered patio space and a 10,000-square-foot courtyard, among other amenities. It's not difficult to see that the possibilities for events are virtually limitless. The number of guests who will be accommodated is: Guardian Works at Echo Street West has a capacity of up to 1,200 guests and offers a variety of different space options. Bishop Station is a station in the city of Bishop, in the province of Durham. What it is: Bishop Station is a new venue operated by Novare Events that opened its doors recently. It is centrally located in Midtown, making it accessible to many parts of the city while remaining away from major thoroughfares, giving it a sense of seclusion. Built in the 1920s as a Gulf Oil Company building, it features original design elements that have been updated with modern amenities. What we like about it: The combination of the old and the new in this industrial space is a visual treat to behold. Antique brick walls enclose a 3,600-square-foot main event space that includes hardwood chevron flooring, a curved pine ceiling, and eye-catching iron chandeliers, among other amenities. During the day, the venue's massive windows along the perimeter let in plenty of natural light, while in the evening, the venue provides spectacular views of Midtown and Downtown Atlanta's skylines. It is possible to double the square footage of event space by adding two additional levels. Additional features include a furnished lounge, a built-in bar, and a spacious outdoor courtyard. Bishop Station can accommodate up to 300 guests in its interior space of 7,200 square feet and a generous outdoor courtyard.
