The North Shore Center is a lively two-theater complex that hosts performances, lectures, seminars, and other audience-oriented activities. The Grand Lobby and ancillary rooms connect the theaters and can host events such as receptions, banquets, and trade shows. There are 867 seats in all at the Center Theatre, including 527 on the main floor, 300 in the balcony, and forty in the side boxes. When at stage level, the orchestra pit's adjustable lift produces a stage extension. The Center Theatre is known for being a pleasant, intimate auditorium with excellent acoustics that can accommodate any size show. The farthest seat from the stage is barely 80 feet away. With extra areas ideal for rehearsals, breakout rooms, or private pre- or post-show refreshments, the North Shore Center can accommodate any event. The Barn Steakhouse excels at large and small dinner parties, private events, lunches, brunches, and buyouts for special occasions. The Barn Steakhouse hosts weddings, bridal luncheons, and corporate events every week. THE FLOWER GARDEN The Garden Room is a stunning three-season venue that may be used for private sit-down events, cocktail receptions, or a combination of the two. Our fire pit and Adirondack chairs invite anybody brave enough to brave the elements during the colder months. THE LOFT The Loft of The Barn Steakhouse, positioned upstairs and overlooking the stylish modernism of the Main Room, has a classic steakhouse ambiance. The Loft is a secluded space with deep red, round, tufted booths, a barely visible historic mural, and The Barn Steakhouse's signature service.

In medieval Ireland, a snug was a private area with its own entrance from the street and its own access to the bar, reserved only for ladies. We decided to open the Snug at the same time as the temperance movement began in Evanston to accommodate folks searching for a small private party area to enjoy our freshly-made drinks and our local fair. It has enough space for a cocktail party of up to 15 people or a seated meal for 10-14 people, as well as plenty of furniture and a huge window. Our dining room can handle a corporate lunch as well as a traditional family-style supper.. Whatever your requirements, we will do all we can to meet them. If you would want to listen to your own music, we offer audiovisual possibilities with our Sharp HD television and iPod ports. We can accommodate a party of 20 or less in a private dining experience by opening up our pre-cocktail window for you and your friends to enjoy. The Beacon Room, located on the second floor, is a semi-private area that can accommodate a group of 55 people for an intimate meal or a cocktail party for 65 people. The rental of the Beacon Room will include exclusive usage of the 2nd Floor Bar Area, which is located on the second floor of the building. For larger gatherings (over 50 people), the Beacon Room may be paired with the Hayloft room, which has a kitchen with plenty of chairs. Our Hay Loft, which is located upstairs and is fully private, can accommodate a party of 30 people for a sit-down romantic dinner or a cocktail party for 35 people. A cocktail event for up to 110 people may be held in conjunction with the Beacon Room, which can accommodate 80 people sitting down.

Koi offers a wide range of alternatives whether you're organizing a sushi night with the girls, a corporate meal, a family event, or celebrating the holidays... On one of our top-of-the-line microphones, you can give a heartfelt speech, project a slideshow or video, eat great appetizers and supper from Union Pizza, and sip on one of our many creative cocktail selections from the bar. Thousands of local and national touring performers have performed at SPACE over the last decade, including The Lumineers, Alabama Shakes, Graham Parker, Nick Lowe, David Lindley, The Weepies, Dr. John, Lucinda Williams, and many more. The recording studio has served as a creative environment for bands like The Strumbellas and The Lone Bellow to record, and it also provides a unique opportunity for musicians passing through to rehearse and collaborate prior to their performance. A candle-lit cabaret table and general admission seats can easily seat 240 people, while standing room only concerts may hold 330 people. SPACE prides itself on creating an intimate venue for fans of all ages to get up-close-and-personal with their favorite acts, regardless of the performance format. 16" on Center, a Chicago-based development business that handles the operations of more than 15 restaurants and venues, including Thalia Hall in Pilsen and The Empty Bottle in the Ukrainian Village, is delighted to be a part of Evanston SPACE. SPACE has been named on DownBeat Magazine's, 93XRT's, and Chicago Tribune's finest venue lists. SPACE honored ten years of live music in 2018 with the inaugural "Out of Space" series, a complete summer of outdoor performances hosted by 93XRT in some of Evanston's most treasured spots. The concerts took place this summer at Canal Shores, an 18-hole golf course that opened in 1919 in Evanston; Temperance Beer Co., SPACE's neighbor one mile west on Dempster since 2013; and the Big Evanston Block Party, located just north of the venue and one block east of the Dempster Purple Line stop. SPACE closed its doors in the spring of 2020, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, and shifted its focus to creative, safe, and socially detached concert experiences. The Space Record Club matched new vinyl with local craft beer for fans' in-home listening enjoyment, while the To-Go Show series brought micro-concerts straight to Evanstonians' yards. From July to October, the Space Summer Stage hosted more than 80 performances by local and national touring artists under a large big top tent. SPACE hopes to continue exploring safe and exciting ways to serve Evanston through a range of performances, outdoor experiences, and community activities as we look to the future.
