Rodale Institute is a nonprofit organic agriculture research and education organization set on more than 360 acres of rolling farmland in Kutztown, Pennsylvania. Founded by J.I. and Anna Rodale, who purchased the property in 1940 to experiment with composting and cover cropping, the farm has grown into a working research campus surrounded by fields, orchards, gardens, and hands-on research plots. Beyond its research mission, the campus hosts corporate and private gatherings, including executive and leadership retreats, workshops and seminars, shareholder and stakeholder meetings, and private events, lunches, and dinners. Guests have access to indoor and outdoor meeting spaces as well as the property's historic bank barn, and events can include guided farm and research tours, farm-to-table meals, and expert-led talks on soil health and regenerative systems. Optional additions include foraging and craft workshops, yoga and meditation sessions, and mocktail-making classes using ingredients grown on the farm. Set among working fields and research plots, Rodale Institute offers a nature-rooted backdrop for organizations and individuals looking to combine meetings or celebrations with the story of the regenerative organic movement.
