There are three elegant ballrooms at the ATCC, each of which has a spectacular view of the San Gabriel Mountains and the Club's amenities to offer. Aside from that, the Club offers two outdoor venues that are ideal for ceremonies and special events. The catering menus at the ATCC include a wide range of options, ranging from appetizers and hors d'oeuvres to entrées and desserts. In 1910, the Altadena Country Club, as it was originally known, was established, and on December 28, 1911, the club celebrated its grand opening. By 1915, the club had grown to include an 18-hole golf course and two tennis courts, and membership had reached 147 people. The Clubhouse's footprint was expanded in 1916, and a swimming pool measuring 25 feet long by 8 feet deep was added. By 1917, World War I had taken its toll, and membership had dropped by half, putting the organization on the verge of closure. A group of members took over the struggling Club in 1920 and renamed it the Pasadena Golf Club to reflect the new location. As part of an effort to keep up with the growing popularity of golf, the course was completely rebuilt with grass tees, greens, and fairways that were of the highest quality. The course was praised for having the largest tees and greens on the Pacific Coast, as well as a "traveling sprinkler" that moved from hole to hole. The Pasadena Scottish Rite Events Center occupies a historic 1925 cathedral at 150 North Madison Avenue in Pasadena's Playhouse Village neighborhood. Storrier Stearns Japanese Garden is a two-acre historic garden estate in a residential neighborhood of Pasadena, California, available for private events and special celebrations. Designed by renowned landscape architect Kinzuchi Fujii between 1935 and 1940 for Charles and Ellamae Storrier Stearns, it is recognized as the only intact example in the United States of a major Japanese-style garden created for a private residence in the years leading up to World War II. Following a comprehensive restoration completed in 2013 under the direction of Dr. Takeo Uesugi of Cal Poly Pomona, the property was reimagined as a shared space for the community. The garden features a hill-and-pond stroll garden with a 25-foot waterfall, an arched wooden bridge, Japanese granite statuary, and a formal teahouse overlooking the pond — all framed by mature sycamore, oak, and Japanese maple trees. Private event rental provides exclusive use of the entire property, accommodating up to 120 seated guests or 150 for standing receptions. The intimate teahouse is available for smaller gatherings of up to 15. The setting has hosted weddings, corporate retreats, holiday parties, concerts, recitals, and celebrations of life.

Zoo offers meaningful opportunities for discovery, education, and inspiration. #LAZooLove Rainforest of the Americas is the Zoo's newest state-of-the-art exhibit, transporting guests to a tropical rainforest full of life. From the treetops to the rivers, creatures are crawling, flying, slithering, hiding, sleeping, and living. Detailed sculptures, educational graphics, and architectural elements create an immersive experience for guests, while specific animal highlights include amazing critters from piranhas and giant otters, to harpy eagles and jaguars. The Elephants of Asia habitat includes features that are dedicated to the health and welfare of the elephants, such as bathing pools, sandy hills, varied topography, enrichment opportunities, and a state of the art barn that is capable of caring for elephants of all ages. Elephants of Asia focuses on the rich connection between elephants and the cultures of Thailand, India, China, and Cambodia. The exhibit familiarizes guests with the challenges Asian elephants face in the wild, including their shrinking natural habitat, and gives visitors the opportunity to directly contribute to conservation programs that support elephants in their native countries. Each wine produced is a small lot, with less than 300 cases of each produced. While we take advantage of some modern technologies available to today’s winemakers, we do so cautiously. We much prefer the Old World methods, such as gently pressing our grapes, aging our wine an average of 22 months, and using only the finest French, American, and Italian oak barrels.
