Originally constructed as the Mohawk Bank, the structure survived the devastating fire of 1819 that consumed much of the surrounding area. Over the following two centuries it served as a private residence, an educational facility, and — for nearly a century — The Mohawk Club, a prestigious social establishment that counted more than 600 members drawn from the national business community at its peak. Acquired by Urban Initiatives Group in 2020, the property has been restored to blend its original historic character with modern amenities. The inn sits just steps from the Mohawk River. Its event spaces carry the building's architectural heritage throughout: a ceremony room featuring vaulted ceilings and a period fireplace, a ballroom finished with wooden accents and antique chandeliers, and a wooden bar suited to cocktail receptions.
