Celebrate Your Special Event in an Extraordinary Setting... Wild Goose Farm is a stunning venue located in the historic town of Shepherdstown, West Virginia. The grounds, which are only 90 minutes from Washington, D.C., and Baltimore, contain rolling grasslands, stunning azure ponds, and woodlands that are watered by natural springs, among other features. There is a lovely reminder of the farm's rich cultural and social heritage in the mansion, gala barn, and a picturesque collection of outbuildings. Awarded the National Register of Historic Places status in 2018 for its historic and architectural value, Wild Goose Farm is a working farm that dates back to the early nineteenth century. a little bit about our barn Our Pennsylvania bank barn was initially built in 1840 and is still in use today. Recently completed modifications on the lower level of the barn were finished in August of this year. To provide year-round comfort, the top and lower levels have been completely heated and air-conditioned. A total of 3250 square feet of open beamed area is available on the upper level, which may be customized for any occasion. An expansive and comfortable changing area for the bride and groom, as well as huge men's and women's toilets, as well as a catering kitchen and a spacious seating area with bistro settings, are all located on the lower floor. This location, which is 40 miles from Nashville, Tennessee, provides a country atmosphere that is convenient to get to. Red brick rises to a gabled front on East German Street, at the center of historic Shepherdstown. The building went up in 1868 as the Methodist Episcopal Church; in 1947 the Men's Club of Shepherdstown bought it and renamed it the War Memorial Building for those who died in World War II. The Shepherdstown Community Club, a nonprofit, has maintained it as a community gathering place ever since. Two floors host events. At street level, the Gallery Room spans 1,370 square feet and holds up to 100 guests; a hanging system outfits the walls for art shows, while the open floor clears for cocktail receptions. Upstairs, the Grand Ballroom rises under 20-foot ceilings across 1,786 square feet and holds 120, its dance floor long known around town and its tables and chairs stored out of sight until an event sets up. A full catering kitchen adjoins the ballroom, and an elevator reaches the second floor. Renters book one floor or both.

As the new owners of the farm, we have implemented a new pricing structure that we believe will allow our couples to have greater control over the planning and financial aspects of their wedding. We provide our couples with the option to pick and choose the services they want provided on their wedding day, or they can choose to take a more hands-on approach on their special day.
