  Le Fanfare is a lovely and welcoming original Italian restaurant and event venue in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. It serves traditional Italian cuisine. Le Fanfare, tucked away at the end of Manhattan Avenue and nestled amid the traditional Polish bakeries and butchers, serves modest Italian cuisine accompanied by live jazz music. The menu is complemented with an all-Italian wine list as well as classic drinks. Greenpoint was chosen as the location for their next project because the energy there was similar to that of Nolita fifteen years ago, according to the owners, jazz musician Luca Fadda, his wife Giorgia, and their long-time friend Nicola Paganelli (whose family owns the Meloni winery in their native Sardinia, Italy). Chef Adam Ross oversees the kitchen, which serves only the highest-quality foods that are presented in a straightforward and friendly manner. All of the pastas and breads are prepared right here in the restaurant. Seasonal Italian cuisine is created using regional products and ingredients that have been meticulously selected.   The Milling Room, located in the center of the Upper West Side, serves seasonal, locally sourced American cuisine in a gorgeous sky-lit dining room and a vibrant tavern-inspired bar. The Milling Room, which opened its doors in November 2014, is located in the building that was originally constructed in 1890 as the elegant Endicott Hotel. When the original hotel opened, it was hailed as "the finest and best appointed in this part of the city" and "the finest and best appointed in this part of the city." The hotel was constructed of Pompeian brick and terracotta and included a glass-roofed Palm Room, which has since been replaced by The Milling Room. It was designed by Edward Angell, who also designed numerous other significant buildings on the Upper West Side, and built by Charles A. Fuller. The structure is located on Columbus Avenue between 81st and 82nd Streets, diagonally across from the American Museum of Natural History. When il Buco first opened its doors in 1994 as a rustic antique store on NoHo's cobblestoned Bond Street, the restaurant quickly rose to become one of the city's most beloved destinations. Donna Lennard and her then-partner, Italian-born restaurateur Alberto Avalle, were pioneers on Bond Street when they invited their antique customers to join them for their midday "pranzo" before obtaining a wine and beer license and developing an eclectic Mediterranean menu that was equal parts Italian, Spanish, and invention, and dedicated to sourcing the finest prime ingredients both locally and in Avalle's home country of Italy.   New York Marble Cemetery is a historic half-acre walled garden tucked into the interior of a city block in Manhattan's East Village, accessible through iron gates at 41½ Second Avenue via a 100-foot private alley. Founded in 1830 as the oldest public non-denominational cemetery in New York City, the grounds are enclosed by 12-foot Tuckahoe marble walls and contain 156 underground burial vaults. The site holds dual designations as a New York City Landmark and a listing on the National Register of Historic Places. The cemetery accommodates private events of up to 120 guests on a center lawn spanning roughly 30 by 150 feet. The range of events hosted includes weddings, fundraisers, fashion shows, corporate gatherings, film and television productions, poetry readings, and art shows. Catering, food, BBQ, and alcohol are permitted on the grounds. Quiet music is welcome at or below 60 decibels; dancing, loud music, and Halloween-themed events are not permitted.   We found a perfect cozy space at the end of an unused alley off the Bowery in the fall of 2004, and Freemans Restaurant was born. The restaurant's concept was to create a rough, secretive colonial American tavern. Early Americans imagined the cuisine to be simple, rustic, and inspired by Old World traditions. We've held everything from weddings and birthday parties to movie premieres, luncheons, wrap parties, bridal showers, and business dinners over the years. For seated dinner parties or cocktail celebrations, Freemans has three private rooms available. The entire second floor, including the drawing room, or the entire restaurant, can be rented for groups of 30 to 200 people.
