Founded in 1927 by Nannie West of Richmond and now in its third generation of family management under director Ann Warner, the property operates as a girls' summer camp during the summer months and transforms into an event venue for weddings, retreats, reunions, and special events the rest of the year. The grounds offer several distinct settings for hosting events. The Feed Bag, a dining hall with a full commercial kitchen, hand-built river-stone fireplace, and a wrap-around porch overlooking the river, suits ceremonies and receptions alike. West Lodge, a recreation hall with an open dance floor and large stage, works well for indoor gatherings.
