Sweeney Barn
Sweeney Barn is a wedding, event, and music venue in historic Manassas, Virginia. Renovated with state-of-the-art technology in 2018, the original dairy barn has been transformed into the perfect location for your event, whatever the occasion. While guests have full access to the grounds, Sweeney Barn's two indoor halls always make for a flexible rain plan. Located within Occoquan Regional Park is the River View at the Jean R. Bel Air 1740
NEW LOCATION! Dates are available in October 2021. Prince William, Virginia's Bel Air 1740 is a sophisticated, new English garden venue that is located approximately 25 minutes south of Washington, DC in Prince William. Beloved Bel Air is a private 25 acre enclave of spectacular rural beauty nestled in the heart of a bustling urban region with easy access to Uber / taxi service as well as a wide variety of hotels, restaurants, and other services. Because of its beautiful rolling fields, elegant lawns, and lovely English gardens, Bel Air 1740 is a beautiful venue for indoor and outdoor receptions, pictures, and ceremonies. It also has a new Wedding Barn for ceremonies and receptions. The 7000 square foot climate controlled wedding barn has a capacity of 150 guests (with a permit, it may accommodate up to 200+ guests). A wheelchair accessible facility on a single level has been constructed. An imposing great hall with 25 foot ceilings and a cutting edge theatrical sound and lighting system are among the many highlights of the barn. The barn is equipped with two large ready rooms, a huge warming kitchen, and a wide covered terrace that can be enclosed with glass panels and heated during the colder months. Outdoor ceremonies and cocktail receptions can be held in a variety of locations on the picturesque grounds and against the historic Bel Air Manor House background. Guests can also hold cocktail parties and take photos in the beautiful vintage tobacco barn that is on the property.
Old Hickory Golf Club
Located in Woodbridge, VA The Old Hickory Golf Club is the area's most upscale golf course, wedding and banquet venue. Old Hickory Golf Club's course was meticulously built to complement its surroundings. The par-72, 7,190-yard championship course was designed by Tim Freeland of Jacksonville, FLA, who formerly worked for golf great Gary Player's design business and also collaborated on the design of Raspberry Falls Golf and Hunt Club, Old Hickory's sister course. Old Hickory Golf Club is a difficult course with several creeks to traverse and views to see, but it is also a course that golfers of all skill levels will appreciate. Your guests will be wowed by the gorgeous surroundings and layout, which will give them with many memorable moments. Old Hickory Golf Club's turn-of-the-century clubhouse has a ballroom and dining room, as well as a veranda with views of our wonderful course. Potomac Point Winery is a winery wedding venue in Stafford, Virginia that can accommodate up to 150 guests. Woodlawn & Pope-Leighey House
As a National Trust for Historic Preservation site, we believe that all Americans have a right to learn about their own history by visiting the places that surround us. This historic site is dedicated to filling in the gaps of our cultural heritage, particularly the stories of enslaved and freed Black communities, as well as the stories of their descendants. Take a look at our interpretation themes. All of our properties are on 126 historic acres in Alexandria, Virginia, and they include two historic properties and one working farm. It was built in 1805, and it was given to Nelly Custis and Lawrence Lewis as a gift by President George Washington. The site was used as a plantation, and the couple enslaved over 90 people while operating it. The Pope-Leighey House, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, is also located on the grounds, where visitors can explore and be inspired by the Usonian architecture and a vision for affordable, well-designed housing that Wright envisioned. We co-own the land with our partner, Arcadia Farm for Sustainable Agriculture, whose mission is to create a more equitable and sustainable local food system in the greater Los Angeles area. Our activities are spread out throughout the grounds and trails, and they are designed to promote learning as well as wellbeing as well as respite and enjoyment of the natural environment and its history. Immersive experiences, exhibitions, performances, and thought-provoking art are used to bring these stories and discussions to life.
