The owners of this location discovered La Milpa Organic Farm community more than 15 years ago. They moved in with the permission of the landowner, Barry Logan, and began living off the property. They discovered a new way of life by connecting with nature. La Milpa planted the seeds for Terra Madre Gardens, whose proprietors soon realized the value of living in harmony with nature. They devised farming practices, created community activities, and taught their children. Stone Brewing eventually took over La Milpa, carrying on the property's farming legacy as well as its fermentation processes.
