This Italian Renaissance inspired masterpiece showcases towering marble columns, soaring ceilings, magnificent inlaid floors and glorious chandeliers. Distinctive cuisine and classic service delight guests and compliment the old world charm and pure beauty that Cipriani 42nd Street has to offer. Cipriani 42nd Street, formerly known as the Bowery Savings Bank, is a national landmark conveniently located adjacent to Grand Central Station. Cipriani 42nd Street features a four-story banquet room with exquisite marble columns extending to ceiling heights that reach 65 feet. The random use of marbles of many colors inhabits nearly every architectural element and detail of the room and its furnishings. The entire banking room floor of Cipriani 42nd Street is of polychrome marble cosmato work laid in geometric patterns with broad borders of 'Traneville' cream marble. Three patterns - Hexagon, Lozenge/Star, and Lozenge/Square - alternate in the marble floor within the five arched bays that compose the room's east and west walls. The Ace Hotel Brooklyn is located in Boerum Hill, on the outskirts of Downtown Brooklyn, about a block from the Hoyt-Schermerhorn Station and at the crossroads of everything. We designed Ace Brooklyn from the ground up, every piece in service of the borough's ceaseless ingenuity, made to move and breathe right along with the city itself, as the next chapter in Ace's long relationship with New York. The hotel's Brutalist front blends smoothly with interiors inspired by European modernists' raw artist studio spaces, thanks to longstanding Ace partners Roman and Williams. Guest rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic views of Manhattan, Staten Island, and the Statue of Liberty, as well as a common lobby and a large-scale installation by artist Stan Bitters. We created a lush indoor garden with a double-sided fireplace and sawtooth skylight, as well as lots of indoor and outdoor work spaces for our neighbors and visitors — a permanent home to carry on the city's great legacy of people doing things their way, together.
