    Housed in a restored 1867 German Gothic church in Cincinnati's Over-the-Rhine neighborhood, The Transept is a historic event venue occupying the fully preserved building that once served as Old St. John's Church, the first German-American church in Cincinnati. The building retains its original architectural grandeur: 170-year-old high-beamed ceilings, Gothic chandeliers, stained glass windows, exposed brick, ornate windows, and a fully restored stage. Four distinct event spaces accommodate gatherings from intimate meetings to large-scale celebrations. The Assembly, the venue's largest space, seats 220 and stands 400 guests beneath soaring vaulted ceilings with a grand private entrance from Elm Street.
