The Arkell Museum at Canajoharie is an art museum and library situated in the Mohawk Valley of upstate New York. The barn takes its name from its distinctive hourglass shape — an architectural curiosity designed by William du Pont, Jr. as an indoor horse training facility for the family's equestrian interests. Delaware acquired the estate in 1976, and the barn has since become one of the region's most flexible large-event venues. The barn's 32,000 square feet of open space can accommodate more than 3,000 guests and can be divided for more intimate gatherings. A raised dance floor and stage anchor the main floor, while large bay doors provide easy access for oversized equipment, themed installations, and trade show displays. The Old School Meetinghouse is a historic two-story meetinghouse in Southampton, Pennsylvania, built by Baptist congregants in 1772 on land tied to Quaker settler John Hart, a First Purchaser who arrived in Pennsylvania in 1682. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the building was enlarged in 1814 and has remained largely unchanged since, having served as a house of worship for over three centuries. David Jones, who served as a Revolutionary War chaplain, and Silas Durand, the meetinghouse's last resident minister, are among the notable figures tied to its history.
