TIWA is a cultural event space and gallery in the heart of New York's historic Tribeca neighborhood. SPACE: The Main Gallery space overlooking historic Walker Street is a clean slate allowing for a variety of uses, specifically private dinners, cocktail receptions, talks, presentations, and exhibitions. The Rear Gallery, which houses an extensive library of art books and lounge seating, allows for an extension of the Main Gallery, or for a separate gathering space that provides staging, back of house, or a meeting area. GALLERY: Celebrating the blurred line between art and design, and the ever-evolving culture of craft, TIWA Select is a platform and gallery space engaging with artists and makers who share an affinity for the unexpectedness of the handmade. Largely self-taught with the ability to work with locally-sourced materials, collaborators draw on traditional practices in their craft — but always as an embodied interpretation of their time, environment, and culture. Their works are tethered to their personal stories, elevating everyday functional objects as artifacts of human experience. Founded in 2021 by Alex Tieghi-Walker, TIWA Select has showcased works in New York City, London and Los Angeles, has collaborated with Farago Gallery and Frieze, and opened their first permanent gallery space in New York’s Tribeca district in Fall 2023.

Tiki Rock has been serving classic and proprietary tiki cocktails crafted with fresh juices, handmade syrups, and unusual garnishes at 2 Broad St. Tiki Rock, which launched in Boston in 2018, blew any leftover winter blues away with a barrage of the best tiki drinks. It features tiki-style totem poles, bright blue bar stools, orange banquettes, and hand-painted scenes. Freshly produced juices and syrups are available in the central bar, complementing a menu of fun and classic tiki-style cocktails. A bright beacon beckons in downtown Boston if you're seeking for a break from the cold and perhaps more ice this weekend. Eater Boston reports that Tiki Rock debuted on Broad Street earlier this week. Tropical rain falls against illuminated Polynesian figures in Tiki Rock's entryway, flanking a carved wooden door. There are bright blue bar stools and orange banquettes inside the dining room, as well as hand-painted images by Boston artist Joanna Ciampa, carved tiki-style totem poles, and a wall of scallop shells collected by Straub's mother in Chatham. Tiki Rock is the idea of general manager Christopher Straub, who took over The Place's former location at 2 Broad St. and hired Moe Kuroki to run Oisa Ramen in the adjacent space. Straub brings years of Hyatt Hotel experience to the project. As beverage director, Charles Smedile (Uni, Clio, Waypoint) comes on board, as is chef de cuisine Matt McPherson (South End Buttery, Porto) and sushi chef Minggan "Tony" Wu.

Our tech department provides your group with future-proof audiovisual equipment and an on-call tech manager complimentary with your room rental. All of our conference rooms are equipped with an LED projector, a screen, Wi-Fi, a flip chart, and a podium with microphone where necessary. We provide trained event staff for each meeting or event so you and your guests are greeted with a friendly face when you walk in the door. They will keep your space clean and your food and beverages refreshed throughout your event. Our renovated facility employs ecologically sensitive Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) principles, including new insulation, wall tile made from recycled glass, and bathroom floors made from recycled cans. We work to be green-minded by forgoing single-use products in favor of china, glassware, and flatware. We also make an effort to donate any leftovers we can. The castle was the home and laboratory of John Hays Hammond Jr., widely recognized as “The Father of Radio Control.” Hammond was one of the 20th century's most prolific inventors, with an extensive list of over 500 patents world-wide, groundbreaking work in radio control, and significant contributions to guided torpedo technology for the military. These achievements and more are showcased at the Museum. The Museum offers guided and self-guided tours, as well as a diverse array of educational and cultural events throughout the year. It is also available for private event rentals including weddings, celebrations, elopements and private engagements. The Museum is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Constructed between 1926 and 1929 and established as a museum in 1930.
