LOUNSBURY HOUSE – ELEGANT PARTY VENUE For your next Birthday Party, Lounsbury House provides a unique and exquisite setting. The ballroom, dining room, and Crystal Room all include original crown molding and woodwork, as well as ornate fireplaces, on the main floor of the home. The Crystal Room is decorated with ornate details and has a grand piano. A bridal suite, private groom's clubroom, and two conference rooms are located on the second floor, which also has a lounge with a central ornate fireplace. An original stained glass window graces the stairwell landing.

He improved the land by adding vegetable gardens, which now generate more than half of the product throughout the summer and fall seasons. The main banquet room accommodates up to 200 guests and features white walls and white curtains that create a clean backdrop suited to a range of décor styles, including contemporary uplighting. Outside, a twin gazebo deck with covered pavilions overlooks Lake Kenosia and serves as a popular setting for cocktail hours and wedding ceremonies. A lakeside pavilion tucked among mature trees offers additional space for photos and small gatherings. Anthony's Lake Club handles catering in-house and offers multiple menu packages, from buffet to full-service dinner, with a full bar program included. Tarrywile Mansion is a 23-room Victorian estate built in 1897 for Dr. William Conrad Wile, a prominent Danbury physician, on the grounds of what is now a 722-acre municipal park. Designed in the Shingle Style by the New York firm Child and DeGoll, the mansion features a wrap-around veranda, grand entrance hall with sweeping staircase, and a glass conservatory — added in the early 1900s by subsequent owner Charles Darling Parks — that now serves as a backdrop for wedding ceremonies. The property is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Since reopening in 1990 as a community and event center, the mansion has hosted weddings, milestone celebrations, corporate gatherings, and private parties. Full house rentals include the first floor — encompassing the living room, drawing room, library, dining room, kitchen, and veranda — along with second-floor bridal and groom's suites. The mansion accommodates up to 120 guests for a seated dinner or buffet and up to 150 for a standing cocktail reception. Tables and chairs are included, and the venue welcomes licensed independent caterers.
