“Love Piccolo, Love!” Gussie's is a project of passion inspired by co-owner David Thate's love of Italian cooking and serving friends and family. The inspiration of the restaurant comes from his grandmother Augusta “Gussie". For Thate, recounting the time being in the kitchen with grandma, helping her throw dinner parties for friends and family was always the best time. As Thate grew, he took what he learned not only from his own experiences with Grandma Gussie, but also his great aunts and his own travels to Italy. Gussie's Handmade Italian brings all those experiences together. The goal is to bring the joy of dining together to you by using the freshest ingredients and freshly made traditional Italian pastas. Rockwell on the River is located in an old manufacturing complex in the Avondale neighborhood in Chicago. This unique industrial building will feature over 16,000 square feet of the main event space totaling over 22,000 square feet including the outdoor and staging areas. The architectural details include high lofted double bow truss ceilings, skylights, exposed brick, timber construction, Black Locust end-grain flooring, Italian Masonry in the courtyard and riverfront, and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the North branch of the Chicago River. The river frontage will bring the indoors out with over 3,000 square feet of cocktail-worthy space. The amenities at Rockwell on the River include a 1,300 square foot catering kitchen, distinctive bars, tables and chairs, artfully designed washrooms, a convenient loading dock, and many details making the space exceptional. The location of this venue is also impressive: the Rockwell series of buildings will feature exciting developments including a distillery, a brewery, and a restaurant – all connected by a common cobblestone courtyard.

This historic theater has been an integral part of Chicago’s entertainment scene since it opened as the Lane Court vaudeville and movie theater in 1916. In 1977 we transformed into Park West, the iconic Chicago concert and special event facility. Flexibility, exclusivity and convenient City location combined with over 40 years’ experience, professional production and venue staffs and in-house A/V make Park West the ideal location for a corporate or social celebration, business presentation, fashion show, gala, benefit concert, awards ceremony, product launch etc. Park West can hold up to 900 people for receptions and can comfortably seat groups of 100 to 700. The versatility of the space allows Park West to function as the perfect location for meetings requiring heavy AV, live entertainment, seated dinners, and dancing. 11,000 square-foot facility with 5 tiered levels, 2 balconies, 7 bars, and comfortable booths/beautiful and practical in design. Take in the aromas of Onion Soup Au Gratin, Steak Frites, and Chicken Grand-Mére, among other dishes. Choose wine from our ancient rolling wine cart with care. Take a taste of Chocolate Mousse or Profiteroles to satisfy your sweet cravings. Private Parties Just outside the Belden-Stratford, Mon Ami Gabi is a pleasant and welcoming café with a cozy ambience and limited outside dining. We can now accommodate groups of up to 50 people in our private dining rooms, or up to 150 people if the entire restaurant is purchased. Weddings Our French bistro is the ideal location for tying the knot. We provide the ideal location for cocktail parties and seated dinners, with an intimate dining room, stunning outdoor patio, and access to the Belden-Stratford lobby.
