It’s a cozy, yet stylish, Santa Monica wine shop and bar where you can come for a glass of champagne and a meal, buy a special bottle for a friend, stock your wine cellar or all of the above. Tucked inside a beautifully refurbished 1937 Art Deco building, their retail area features floor to ceiling racks of wine focused on smaller producers (whose stories they know and love) as well as a separate room for high-end finds to add to your private collection. Esters offers a full menu for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch that changes seasonally, with a delicious array of meats and cheeses curated by our “little kitchen that could.” Executive Chef Jessica Liu-He and the culinary team are committed to sourcing local fish, meats from high-quality producers, and they make as much as possible in house. Joan Milke Flores Park is a coastal outdoor venue operated by the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks, situated along Paseo Del Mar in the San Pedro neighborhood of Los Angeles. Perched above the Pacific, the park offers sweeping ocean views extending toward Catalina Island, making it a distinctive setting for outdoor ceremonies, picnics, and community celebrations. The park features expansive open grass areas, shaded tree coverage, picnic tables, and paved pathways, along with hiking, jogging, and biking trails throughout the grounds. The entire park is fenced except at the parking entrance, providing a contained and accessible environment for events. Adjacent attractions include Angels Gate Cultural Arts Center, Fort MacArthur Museum, and the Korean Friendship Bell. Point Fermin Park is a 37-acre coastal park operated by the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks, situated at the southernmost tip of San Pedro along the bluffs of West Paseo Del Mar. The park overlooks the Pacific Ocean, with clear-day views stretching to Santa Catalina Island and the Channel Islands. At its heart stands the Point Fermin Lighthouse, a Victorian-era redwood structure built in 1874 that ranks among the oldest surviving lighthouses on the West Coast. The grounds feature tree-shaded lawns, sheltered pergolas, colorful gardens, a small amphitheater, and a promenade tracing the edge of the palisade cliffs. Picnic areas and a childrens playground round out the facilities. Cabrillo Beach Bath House is a historic Mediterranean-style bathhouse built in 1932 on the shore of Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro, Los Angeles. Originally constructed as the last major bathhouse in Southern California, the 26,000-square-foot landmark was fully restored in 2002 and is now operated by the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks as a special event venue. The bathhouse offers an upstairs ballroom with vaulted ceilings, a hardwood dance floor, and windows that let in natural light, alongside an outdoor patio overlooking the ocean. Together the spaces accommodate up to 200 guests for weddings, receptions, quinceañeras, birthday celebrations, and business meetings — with capacity of 150 when the dance floor is in use.
