The Logan Theatre

The Logan Theatre has anchored Logan Square since 1915, when it opened as the Paramount Theatre — a single-screen cinema seating nearly 1,000 patrons. After decades as a neighborhood institution under the Vaselopolis family, the theatre closed in fall 2011 for a full renovation and reopened in March 2012 with four screens, 595 seats, and a restored Art Deco interior. Visitors today can see the original stained glass arch above the box office, refurbished marble walls, and the decorative relief panels from the 1915 build — all preserved and integrated into the redesign. Beyond film, The Logan Theatre functions as a community gathering place in Logan Square. It hosts independent film festivals, premieres, open mic comedy, movie trivia nights, and a late-night horror series each October. A full-service bar and lounge extend the space into a versatile event venue, welcoming private gatherings ranging from children's parties to film industry events. The theatre is steps from the Logan Square Blue Line station and the Milwaukee (56) bus.
