Victory Garden Café is the event venue and restaurant at Victory Sweet Shop on Steinway Street in Astoria, Queens — a family-owned institution established in 1968 by the Sakalis family and recognized as the oldest Greek bakery in Astoria. The business expanded in 2012 to add the Garden Café, bringing a European-style indoor/outdoor garden venue to the neighborhood. The café hosts weddings, baptisms, Sweet 16 parties, bridal and baby showers, and corporate events, with a full Mediterranean menu prepared entirely on premises. Anna Sakalis, a certified wedding planner on staff, guides the events team through the planning process.
