The University Club of Portland traces its roots to 1898, when a group of college alumni founded the club in downtown Portland. Its permanent home, designed by the architectural firm Whidden & Lewis, opened in 1913 and remains the club's clubhouse today, with elegant gathering rooms, rich woodwork, and a dedicated library. That historic Tudor-style clubhouse now serves as a downtown Portland venue for weddings and private events, with a Ballroom, Gold Room, Library, Lobby, and Lounge among the rooms available for ceremonies, receptions, rehearsal dinners, and celebrations. Established in 1908, Portland Yacht Club is Oregon's oldest yacht club, set on the Columbia River overlooking Tomahawk Island with moorage for more than 200 vessels. The Grant House sits inside the historic Officers Row district in Vancouver, Washington. Built in 1850, it's the oldest building in the Fort Vancouver Historic area.
