The Tuscan Villa at Running Hare Vineyard is a multi-purpose facility that can be rented year-round for wedding receptions and ceremonies. It is located on the property's grounds. The rental fee includes the use of the ballroom, covered portico, tables, chairs, and dance floor, as well as the use of the kitchen. We provide our clients with the convenience of having their wedding ceremony and reception in the same location. With a paved walkway that leads from the bridal gate down the aisle to the Italian pergola, our ceremony site is set in the vineyard and is absolutely stunning! The rental of the ceremony site includes the use of white ceremony chairs, which are included in the price of the rental. The Villa also has a bridal suite, which is a wonderful place for the bride and her bridesmaids to relax and get ready for their big day! Pavilion on a hilltop In addition to being open-sided, the Hilltop Pavilion can accommodate up to 80 guests in a seated configuration. Tables and chairs are provided as part of the rental fee. Visitors can stay in our historic 17th Century Waterfront Manor House, which offers 5-star B&B accommodations and is surrounded by our 65-acre family farm. Our stately Tobacco Barn, vineyard, cut flower farm, rolling acres of lavender, and apiary, all built in the 1930s, will leave you in wonder of what we have to offer. 2005-2007 Buchanan Hall was determined to be in need of repair in 1942 after an inspection of the building's structure. It was decided to form a new trustee committee, which included Mrs. Paul Mellon as Chairman, Lieut. Walter J. Williams as Vice Chairman, Rozier Dulany as secretary, and Mrs. Joseph G. Gibson as treasurer, with Mrs. Paul Mellon serving as Chairman. Mrs. William G. Fletcher and Mrs. Thomas Glascock were also on the committee, which met once a month. The renovation of the building proceeded as planned, with funds raised through private contributions solicited by the committee's members. Upon completion, an item titled "Upperville's Latest Community Project is Brought to a Close" ran in the Fauquier Times-Democrat on November 5, 1942, with the headline "Upperville's Latest Community Project is Brought to a Close." According to the report, "the building will be available for use by churches, humanitarian organizations, the Red Cross, and the Boy Scouts at no cost." Flora Corner Farm is a working farm wedding venue set on family land in Mechanicsville, Maryland, about 90 minutes from Washington D.C., Annapolis, and Virginia. The property has been passed down through generations — originally cultivating tobacco, now growing soybeans, corn, and sunflowers — and that agricultural heritage gives the setting a genuinely rural character that's harder to manufacture. The venue accommodates up to 130 guests inside the heated and air-conditioned barn, or up to 150 guests with an outdoor dance floor. Wedding packages range from a Basic Reception to a Premier option that includes extensive furniture and décor choices; à la carte menus round out the catering offerings. Dressing rooms are available for the bridal party, and guests are welcome to wander the lawn and flower gardens between ceremony and reception. Flora Corner Farm hosts one event at a time, making the entire property private for each booking. Tours are available by appointment, and planning consultations are scheduled 90 days out to finalize event details.
