Weddings With a capacity of 160 for a plated dinner or 225 for a cocktail reception, the Grand Ballroom's beautiful crystal chandeliers, pressed tin ceiling, and French doors add charm and elegance to any wedding. This 2,500 square foot ballroom, which has been restored to its 19th-century beauty, was home to McKinney's first Opera House from 1885 to 1923. The Grand Ballroom is an excellent choice for your reception and can also serve as a setting for your wedding ceremony. Any bride and groom can create a night to remember when they have the choice of reserving the full hotel. Meetings Three private dining rooms total 4,100 square feet of meeting and event space on the property. Rick's Chophouse provides onsite food and full-service event personnel for all events. The Grand Ballroom The Grand Ballroom is located on the Grand Hotel's second story. With floor to ceiling mahogany wood walls, climate controlled wine shelves, a private restroom, a private bar, and six commissioned paintings reflecting McKinney's heritage, Rick's 110 offers solitude and luxury. Wine Room Our international wine list is housed in floor-to-ceiling wood racks in the Wine Room. This private space can accommodate up to 12 people for a conference or up to 34 people for a seated supper and is also a working wine room. Library The Library is surrounded with cookbooks that are favorites of the owners of Rick's Chophouse. The ranch was purchased in 2014, and the owners first totally restored the white ranch home before building the three-story barn in 2015. The RoseMary Barn was then renovated from a dilapidated 1970s pole barn at the property's back to the lovely white venue it is today. The RoseMary Barn takes its name from the proprietor's mother. The RoseMary Barn is a stunning all-white event and wedding location located about 5 miles from Historic Downtown Mckinney and hotels. White shiplap is used to build the inside walls and ceilings. The venue features a large bridal suite with h/m stations, cable tv+mini fridge, a masculine grooms cabin with cable tv/hook ups for a gaming center+mini fridge, a large outdoor ceremony space shaded by mature trees, a large covered porch for cocktail hour, a bar kitchen for the bartenders, a large catering prep kitchen, and a 40x32 covered pavilion that can be used for a wedding reception. We have a generator in case of power shortages, and we are Uber-friendly, allowing cars to stay overnight if Uber service is required. For our booked wedding groups and/or families, we have on-site over night accommodations in addition to the venue. This two-story barndominium has a cool modern feel to it. It includes a white shiplap kitchen with open cabinetry, gold lights, and a beautiful modern farmhouse vibe. It features four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and two living areas. Bedroom #2 has a queen bed, bedroom #3 has two queen beds, and bedroom #4 has two queen beds. The master bedroom has a king bed with a private bath, bedroom #2 has a queen bed, bedroom #3 has two queen beds, and bedroom #4 has two queen beds. It is a little over 2000 square feet and can sleep up to 12 people. Our three-story barn has it on the second and third floors.

The 1899 Farmhouse is surrounded by a lush forest and acres of rustic countryside, creating a stunning backdrop for your outdoor wedding. Built in 1899 in McKinney, Texas, the historic, antique farmhouse was moved to its current 11-acre location in 1979. Richard and Shea Lyn bought the historic house and land in 2008 and turned it into Texas' most unusual wedding venue. The farmhouse has been set aside for the bridal party, with a lovely bridal suite and lots of space for the ladies to rest and prepare for the big day. Just behind the house, a 6,000 square foot rustic-elegant reception pavilion sits next to a beautifully groomed lawn and white gazebo. The Melissa Barn, nestled in the North Texas countryside, offers a completely unique experience with its rustic yet refined elegance. Between the main and guest buildings, our onsite lodging can accommodate up to 16 visitors. Natural ceilings complement the reclaimed barn wood interior, which is accented with exquisite wrought-iron lighting. With a 50-foot walkway leading to a covered arbor, our outdoor wedding space is private. Weddings There are moments in life that last longer than the time frame in which they occur. Brushy Creek Event Center sits on 53 acres in Farmersville, Texas, where it shares its land with ThrowAway Ponies, a horse rescue nonprofit. Founded in 2016 by Karen Bander and Jaclyn Bander, the venue hosts weddings, birthday parties, and corporate events in a rustic, country setting. The property's main barn spans 3,400 square feet, with a 30-by-60-foot main area that comfortably seats 110 guests for dinner, dancing, and a DJ setup, and holds up to 150 guests at max occupancy. The adjoining "Saloon" bar area opens onto both the outdoor patio and the indoor main space, with wine glasses available for rent, two mini fridges, and ample counter space. A groom's room and a full kitchen with two refrigerators, a dishwasher, and an oven round out the barn's amenities, with dishware and kitchenware also available for rent. When our culinary and photographic services are combined, we can provide a complete turnkey solution for any special event or occasion. The antique hardwood floors and 15-foot brick walls of the venue provide as a stunning background for any theme or event. Two 8-foot butcher block top bars, two 12-foot butcher block top buffet tables, lantern centerpieces, cocktail tables and round and rectangular tables are included in the main room's 110-by-40-foot footprint.
