La Sierra Community Center is a 36-acre event complex managed by the Carmichael Recreation and Park District, situated at 5325 Engle Road in Carmichael, California. The facility occupies the grounds of the former La Sierra High School and serves as a hub for community gatherings, celebrations, and private events. The centerpiece of the rental program is the John Smith Community Hall, a 6,435-square-foot space that accommodates up to 385 guests for wedding receptions, fundraisers, crab feeds, class reunions, and large community events. Additional rental spaces include the Cypress Room with Kitchen, which seats up to 115 guests in 1,814 square feet, and Room 800, a flexible meeting room for groups of up to 50. The Johnson and Villareal Gymnasiums are available on a limited basis for sports events and team practices. Rental packages include white folding chairs, round and rectangular tables, and access to a full commercial kitchen equipped with dual ovens, stovetops, refrigerator, freezer, and an ice machine. Optional add-ons such as an audio system, stage, podium, and warming equipment are available for additional fees.
